FURIA Secures the Final Spot at Worlds 2026

FURIA will be the CBLOL's second representative at Worlds 2026. The organization defeated LOUD in the lower bracket final on Saturday, October 3, claiming the final available spot at this year's League of Legends World Championship.

The result also sent FURIA back to the grand final of the CBLOL 2026 Split 2. The team will face LOS on October 10 in Rio de Janeiro, with the series also determining Brazil's seeds for Worlds.

FURIA Bounced Back From a Rough Start to Split 2

FURIA's road to Worlds began very differently from how its run has ended. The reigning Split 1 champion lost its first two regular-season series, falling 2-0 to LOS and Vivo Keyd Stars.

FURIA did not lose again during the regular season. The team went on to defeat LOUD, Fluxo W7M, RED Canids, paiN Gaming and LEVIATÁN in succession, finishing the stage with a 5-2 record.

In the playoffs, FURIA opened with a 3-0 sweep of RED Canids in the upper bracket before losing 3-1 to LOS in the following round and dropping to the lower bracket. Their path to Worlds then went through RED once again, this time in a five-game series that FURIA won 3-2.

In the lower bracket final, FURIA defeated LOUD to secure Brazil's second Worlds berth.

Worlds Will Be Another International Event for FURIA in 2026

The qualification continues a season with significant international competition for FURIA. In March, the team won the Americas Cup 2026 after defeating Cloud9 3-0 in the final.

Months later, FURIA won CBLOL Split 1 with a 3-1 victory over LOS. The title sent the organization to the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational in South Korea, where it finished seventh-eighth.

FURIA also competed in the League of Legends event at the Esports World Cup in July. Its campaign ended in the group stage after losses to G2 Esports and Dplus KIA.

Worlds is now the latest addition to that list. FURIA's qualification also completed the 19-team field for the tournament. You can check the full list of teams qualified for Worlds 2026 and each region's representatives.

FURIA and LOS Will Decide the CBLOL Seeds

Brazil's two Worlds representatives are now confirmed, but their seeding will be decided in the CBLOL final. FURIA and LOS will face each other on October 10 in Rio de Janeiro for the Split 2 title and Brazil's first seed.

The final placement matters for the teams' path at Worlds. The CBLOL champion will take the first seed and advance directly to the Swiss Stage. The second seed, meanwhile, will have to play in the Play-In Stage alongside the third seeds from the LEC, LCS and LCP, with only one spot in the next stage available.

When and Where Will Worlds 2026 Take Place?

Worlds 2026 will be held in the United States from October 15 to November 14. The Play-In Stage will open the tournament at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles.

The competition will then move to Allen, Texas, for the Swiss Stage, quarterfinals and semifinals. The grand final will be played at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
