It is the third day of PGL Major CS2 Copenhagen 2024 and we have our first big casualty. ENCE, the newly rejuvenated Polish juggernauts were eliminated by the Brazilian FURIA.

Led by the legendary ex-Astralis IGL Lukas “Gla1ve” Rossander, ENCE were considered a strong team entering the major. While they failed to qualify directly for the elimination stage, they were still considered an easy pick to qualify for the next stage.

But a loss to Imperial and Pain Gaming, dropped them to the 1-2 bracket, facing FURIA. Starting on Mirage, both teams went blow for blow concluding the half on a 5-7 scoreline.

In the second half, FURIA’s CT-side prevailed, closing the first map 13-8. The second map was a similar story with ENCE winning one more round before losing 0-2. With the loss, they became the first big name to be eliminated from the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

FURIA aren’t out of the danger yet, as they face SAW tomorrow for the elimination game. Additionally, GamerLegion faces Imperial Esports and Legacy takes on the Mongolz.
