The 2025 LCK Season Opening event has drawn to a close, and Team Mid ravaged the competition on their way to winning the whole thing. Following his team's victory in the finals, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok revealed his choice of wanting to gift none other than the Hall of Legends Ahri skin to one-hundred lucky fans.

During the event, which featured five teams made up of some of the best players in the LCK from each lane, Faker, Chovy, ShowMaker, VicLa, and BDD ran away with the final showmatch of the evening by defeating Team Top in convincing fashion.

The gift that keeps on giving

After winning the League of Legends World Championship for an outstanding fifth time, Faker seemed to have done it all. Being the greatest player in the game's history, an honorable and humble figure outside of the rift, and a man made for high-stakes plays that are bound to catch the eye, most already considered Faker to be one of the game's most treasured gifts.

Well, now a hundred lucky fans may be forced to think again. The prize for winning the LCK Season Opening was that every player from the winning team would be able to choose a skin to gift to one hundred fans.

Admittedly, Team Mid had an incredibly stacked roster for the event, so perhaps the victory was not entirely a surprise. What was a surprise, however, was Faker choosing Hall of Legends Ahri as his skin of choice to gift the fans.

One expensive gift

The Ahri skin in question, which was made in honor of Faker himself after his becoming the first player to be inducted into the Hall of Legends, also happens to be the most expensive skin ever made by Riot Games.

Upon its release, the skin was initially met with mixed reactions. While no one denied the beauty of it or the efforts made by the cosmetics team or even Faker himself in making the skin, it did become heavily criticized for its price tag, which could go up to the exorbitant figure of $500.

Now, one hundred lucky fans will be eager to load up onto the rift and pick Ahri for themselves. Because, well, if there's one skin you'd want to flaunt, that would be Hall of Legends Ahri. Say, 'Thank you, Faker'.
