The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 is set to be a huge event in the world of competitive gaming. Held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this tournament will showcase some of the best teams from around the globe of League of Legends (LoL). Tournament format and schedule

Format

The League of Legends tournament at the Esports World Cup 2024 follows a single elimination bracket format, featuring the top 2 performing teams from each of the major leagues Spring Splits:

The matches will all be Best-of-three series, with the only exception being the Grand Finals, which will be a Best-of-five series.

Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup 2024 features a substantial prize pool of $1,000,000 for the League of Legends tournament. Here's the breakdown of the prize distribution:

  • 1st Place: $400,000 (40%) + 1,000 EWC Club Points
  • 2nd Place: $200,000 (20%) + 600 EWC Club Points
  • 3rd-4th Place: $100,000 each (10%) + 275 EWC Club Points each
  • 5th-8th Place: $50,000 each (5%) + 60 EWC Club Points each

The prize pool ensures that all participating teams are rewarded for their efforts, with the champions taking home the lion's share and significant points towards the EWC Club Championship.
