Demacia Cup 2023: Format, Schedule, Results and Where to Watch

The Demacia Cup is the post-season event organized by Tencent. The 2023 event features 24 teams comprising the 17 LPL, 2 LDL and 5 amateur teams.

The 12-day event will be divided into two stages. The four Worlds 2023 teams get a direct invitation to the playoffs. The rest of the teams will have to qualify via the Group Stage.

Demacia Cup 2023 Format and Schedule

The Group Stage will feature 20 teams with 13 LPL teams and 7 amateur teams. These twenty teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. Each group will play a Swiss Stage and the winner of each group will qualify for the playoffs.

The single elimination bracket playoffs already features the four Worlds 2023 attendees. The four teams qualifying via the Group stage will play each of the four directly invited teams. There are no lower brackets and a loss will lead to an elimination. Finally, the team a team that wins it all with lift the Demacia Cup 2023.

The Group stage will feature a Bo1 format and the playoffs will feature a Bo5 format games.

The event date and kick off time for each day is as follows:

  • 25th December 2023: Group Stage Day 1 (5:00 AM CET)
  • 26th December 2023: Group Stage Day 2 (9:00 AM CET)
  • 27th December 2023: Group Stage Day 3 (5:00 AM CET)
  • 31st December 2023: TBD vs. WBG (7:00 AM CET)/ TBD vs. BLG (10:oo AM CET)
  • 1st January 2024: TBD vs LNG (7:00 AM CET) / TBD vs. JDG (10:oo AM CET)
  • 3rd January 2024 - 4th January 2024: Semifinals 1 and 2
  • 6th January 2024: Finals
