With Black Ops 7 gearing up for release on November 14, Call of Duty fans are staring down one of the largest multiplayer launches in series history. Declassified intel confirms 19 maps, multiple launch modes, and the complete Operator roster, all set to deploy before Season 01 arrives.

Whether you’re here for the nostalgia trip of returning favorites or eager to dive into brand-new battlegrounds, Black Ops 7’s launch offerings promise something for everyone.

New and Returning Multiplayer Modes

Treyarch’s new matchmaking philosophy for Black Ops 7 means skill considerations will be minimized, keeping the focus on fast-paced, varied combat. Persistent lobbies make it easier to stay with your squad after each match, while Hardcore rules and Alternate Variants bring even more challenge and replayability.

At launch, players can drop into a wide range of Core and Hardcore classics, as well as a handful of experimental new modes.

Core and Hardcore Modes

  • Overload – A new sabotage-based mode where teams deliver a device into enemy zones.
  • Team Deathmatch – The timeless staple of elimination.
  • Domination – Capture and control objectives across the map.
  • Search and Destroy – No respawns, high stakes, and tactical plays.
  • Kill Confirmed– Collect dog tags to score points and deny opponents.
  • Free-For-All – Every soldier for themselves.
  • Hardpoint– Lock down the objective zones for continuous points.
  • Kill Order – Protect your High-Value Target while eliminating the enemy’s.
  • Control – Attack and defend limited-life zones for round-based domination.
  • Face Off Moshpit – 6v6 alternate modes on tight, fast-paced maps.

Alternate and Additional Modes

The chaos scales up even further with larger playlists.

  • Skirmish (20v20) – Complete objectives in large-scale warfare.
  • Gunfight – Intense 2v2 skirmishes using preset loadouts.
  • Face Off Variants – Domination, TDM, Kill Order, and Kill Confirmed versions, all with Scorestreaks disabled for pure skill combat.

All 19 Maps Launching Before Season 01

Treyarch is claiming the biggest map drop in Call of Duty’s multiplayer history: 16 core 6v6 maps, 2 large-scale Skirmish maps, and the highly anticipated Nuketown 2025, arriving shortly after launch in the Preseason on November 20. The lineup blends all-new locations with remastered icons from Black Ops II, each bringing unique combat dynamics.

He expressed his desire for the org to perform to the highest standards, but also highlighted that rivalry is key to grow the ecosystem. Additionally, Neo gave strong opinions on the growth of mobile esports following last year's Vitality's takeover and merger with Indonesian side Bigetron, stressing the need for innovation and following ideas in the east, as much as the west.
