This event marks the second major tournament in the BLAST Siege calendar, with teams from around the world vying for supremacy. The Teams and Groups

The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta features a diverse array of teams from various regions, each striving for victory and crucial Six Invitational (SI) points. Here's a glimpse of the participating teams and their group placements:

Eight teams have been given a direct line to the Playoffs. This comes as a reward for winning out their respective Regional Leagues. These 8 teams are:

Tournament Format, Prize Pool, and Winnings

Tournament Format:

The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta follows a comprehensive format designed to bring out the best in each team, ensuring thrilling competition throughout the event.

Play-ins (October 31 - November 1, 2023):

The Play-ins stage employs a GSL-style double elimination bracket, featuring four teams in each group, representing distinct regions. In this phase, upper bracket matches are decided in a single-game format (Bo1), while lower bracket matches offer a more extensive showdown in a best-of-three (Bo3) setup. The top two teams from each group will emerge victorious, advancing to the Playoffs.

Playoffs (November 3 - 7, 2023):

The Playoffs stage employs a 16-team Swiss System format, offering an array of match dynamics. For all elimination matches, teams will engage in head-to-head battles over a best-of-three (Bo3) format. Meanwhile, other matches within the Playoffs remain concise and fierce with a single-game format (Bo1). Seeding throughout the Playoffs is determined by the Buchholz System, a method that ensures balanced competition. The top eight teams from the Playoffs will secure their place in the Finals.

Finals (November 10 - 12, 2023):

The climactic Finals stage is an electrifying single-elimination bracket showdown. Quarterfinals and semifinals are hard-fought best-of-three (Bo3) contests, where only the most resilient will prevail. Finally, the Grand Final is a best-of-five (Bo5) spectacle, with no map advantage, ensuring a nail-biting climax to this high-stakes tournament.

Prize Pool:

The BLAST R6 Major Atlanta boasts a total prize pool of US$750,000. Here's how the prize money is going to be distributed at the Major:

1st: $200,000

2nd: $80,000

3rd–4th: $40,000

5th–8th: $20,000

9th–11th: $13,000

12th–14th: $11,000

15th - 16th: $9,000

17th - 20th: $7,500

21st - 24th: $5,500

Additionally, each team will receive $7,000 for qualifying and competing in the event.

Six Invitational Points:

In addition to the prize money, teams will also be vying for Six Invitational points, vital for securing a spot at the Six Invitational 2024. Points will be distributed as follows:

1st: 350 SI Points

2nd: 265 SI Points

3rd - 4th: 200 SI Points

5th - 8th: 140 SI Points

9th–11th: 105 SI Points

12th–14th: 85 SI Points

15th - 16th: 75 SI Points

17th - 20th: 55 SI Points

21st - 24th: 35 SI Points
