The list of 12 invited teams for BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 has been confirmed, with four additional squads set to qualify through regional tournaments. The event, featuring some of the world's best teams, promises high-stakes action across two locations in March 2025.

BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 will begin with a Bo3, double-elimination group stage from March 19-24 at BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. Following this phase, the top six teams will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, taking place March 28-30. The tournament will feature a $400,000 prize pool.

Invited Teams and Valve Ranking Influence

The 12 invited teams were selected based on Valve’s global ranking as of February 3, 2025. Unlike previous events, all invitations were accepted, ensuring a lineup featuring the top-ranked teams in the world.

One notable exclusion is GamerLegion, who missed out due to prize pool calculations from ongoing tournaments, particularly IEM Katowice. This ranking system allowed teams eliminated early to benefit from prize money allocations, while teams still competing did not receive a set amount of points at the ranking cut-off.

Regional Qualifiers to Complete the Lineup

Fnatic and KRIMZ Go Their Separate Ways After 10 Years Together

It is the kind of news that makes you stop scrolling. Fnatic has officially parted ways with Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson after more than a decade together, one of the longest player-organization partnerships in Counter-Strike history. The Swedish rifler joined the black-and-orange banner in 2014 and, aside from a brief two-month stint with GODSENT in late 2016, never left. That chapter is now closed.
