The BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 returns tomorrow with the Season 1 Finals and we know it will present a lot of top tier Counter-Strike 2 action, after the lower seeded teams that qualified chose their opponents for this first round. Let's break down the upcoming quarterfinal matches, considering the strengths of each team and potential factors that could influence the outcomes.

Team Spirit vs HEROIC

Team Spirit continue their strong performances overall, cementing their position near the top of the world rankings. HEROIC, while lower-ranked, has shown some interesting performance and could step up their game in this tournament's phase.

Spirit's recent success gives them the upper hand, but HEROIC always means trouble. If everything goes to plan, Spirit should come out on top, but HEROIC will definitely push them to their limits.

Expected Outcome: Team Spirit wins, but HEROIC will fight for an upset

G2 Esports vs BetBoom

G2 Esports enters this match as the clear frontrunner, with their recent performances proving their favoritism not only in this match but also to fight for the title. HeavyGod is justifying his nickname and is having an amazing first tournament with G2, quickly becoming a key factor in the team's success.

BetBoom's roster changes with nafany and KaiR0N, due to Boombl4 and z0rte not securing their visas could introduce an element of unpredictability, but unlikely to pose a threat to G2.

Expected Outcome: G2 to advance relatively easy

Vitality vs Eternal Fire

Vitality, just like Team Spirit and G2, comes to this matchup as the favorite to advance in the tournament. The synergy between ropz and ZywOo happened faster than many would have expected and adds to the challenge of facing them. Eternal Fire, however, did not qualify to this tournament's phase without proper merit, as evidenced by their hard-fought victory against Falcons.

Vitality's map pool and star power make them the likely winners, but Eternal Fire's XANTARES and woxic could create some exciting moments. If Vitality plays to their potential, they should secure the win, but Eternal Fire may be the toughest opponent of the lower seed to beat.

Expected Outcome: Vitality advances, possibly dropping a map

Natus Vincere vs paiN

While NAVI enters as the favorite, paiN Gaming's recent form and the tactical acumen of their in-game leader, biguzera, who purposedly chose Natus Vincere to face in this phase of the tournament. paiN's recent record in their last matches and biguzera's evolving strategies, which already surprised crowd-favorites Faze Clan, could catch NAVI off guard.

If paiN secures favorable maps in the veto process and key players step up, they might exploit NAVI's weaknesses, with the addition of the underdog status might allow paiN to play more freely, potentially leading to creative plays that disrupt NAVI's game plan. While NAVI's experience and skill still give them the edge, biguzera's tactical prowess and paiN's momentum make this quarterfinal a match that could surprise the CS2 community.

Expected Outcome: NaVi wins, but paiN has everything to surprise yet another favorite

While these predictions favor the higher-ranked teams, the nature of Counter-Strike 2 means surprises are always possible. The pressure of the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 and its different prize pool structure could lead to some intense, closely fought matches. Fans can expect high-level CS2 action regardless of the outcomes.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
