While the list of champion changes to hit League of Legends with Patch 25.13 was not particularly extensive, some champions have risen through the ranks all the same. When it comes to climbing in Solo Queue, it's always important to keep up to date with the latest patch changes and understand which champions are currently performing the best.

For that reason, we're breaking down the best champions in each role that will help you as you look to climb the ranked ladder in Patch 25.13.

Best champions to climb ranked in League of Legends Patch 25.13

Top Lane

Warwick

Warwick remains one of the strongest top laners of the patch thanks to his strong sustain and deceptively strong laning phase. It may take a few games for players to master how to best utilize Warwick in the top lane, but once that part's figured out, you can start taking over the Rift by catching your opponents off guard.

Mordekaiser

The Iron Revenant received a buff to the scaling of his bread and butter damage ability, [Q] Obliterate, in Patch 25.12. Ever since then, Mordekaiser has become one of the strongest top lane champions in the entire game.

Thanks to his amazing dueling capacity, his ability to turn enemy ganks in his favor with his [R] Realm of Death, and his simple, straightforward kit, Mordekaiser can be the perfect pick for just about anyone when looking to climb ranked in Patch 25.13.

Sett

Outside of his limited mobility, there's simply very little that Sett can't do. The Boss has enough tankiness, burst, pushing power, and crowd control to make him an absolute menace to face on Summoner's Rift.

This is perhaps exactly what sees Sett hold both the highest win rate (52.67%) and pick rate (9.4%) among all champions in the top lane in Patch 25.13.

Jungle

Trundle

Yet another champion with a simple kit and terrific dueling capabilities. Trundle's [Q] Chomp all but guarantees you win early skirmishes, while his [E] Pillar of Ice can catch enemy carries off guard at just about any point in the game, making the Troll King one of the very best junglers currently in the game.

Warwick

So strong is Warwick this patch that he makes an appearance on this list across two different roles. As a jungler, Warwick's [W] Blood Hunt allows you to hunt down early kills with ease, while his [R] Infinite Duress can prove crucial for locking down an enemy carry in later fights.

A fast-paced, easy to learn jungler, Warwick is one of the best champions to climb ranked in Patch 25.13.

Briar

Though Briar was already strong, the latest bug fixes and tweaks to come her way in Patch 25.13 have seen the champion take over the jungle. Currently, Briar holds the single highest win rate in the entire game at a whopping 54.33%.

A relentless skirmisher, building bruiser items will be your best bet when it comes to dominating the rift with Briar, as the increased durability will allow her to dive straight for an enemy carry in fights.

Mid Lane

Diana

Diana continues to be the best Mid Lane assassin in Solo Queue. Capable of single-handedly turning fights around with a well-timed [R] Moonfall, Diana can run away with a game after securing just a couple early kills for herself.

Lux

With a simple kit, long range for increased safety, great pick potential, and good waveclear, Lux has all of the makings of a good Mid Lane champion. Moreover, the short cooldown of her [R] Final Spark gives Lux frequent access to immense burst, making her a constant menace.

Malzahar

The relative safety provided by Malzahar's [P] Void Shift continues to give the champion a good time in lane. Malzahar's best tool, however, undoubtedly comes in the form of his [R] Nether Grasp, allowing you to shut down a fed enemy carry with a single press of a button.

This not only makes Malzahar an incredibly frustrating champion for your enemies to face, but also one of the best champions to climb Solo Queue in Patch 25.13.

Bottom Lane

Nilah

Nilah holds on to the highest win rate in the bot lane in Patch 25.13 at 53.14%. Though her playstyle can be a little different to that of the average ADC, Nilah's incredibly high damage numbers and her ability to take over fights with her [R] Apotheosis make her one of the strongest champions of the patch.

Jinx

This Loose Cannon has one of the highest pick rates in the bot lane (14.3%) for a reason. Due to her long range and powerful late game, Jinx is one of the best AD carries in Solo Queue. Just make sure you stay safe enough in teamfights until your [P] Get Excited! kicks in, at which point you can start taking over the fight!

Sivir

One of the best farmers and wave pushers in the entire game, facing a Sivir lane can be an oppressive experience. Use the shoving power of your [Q] Boomerang Blade and [W] Ricochet to keep the enemy bot lane under pressure while landing crucial chip damage.

Paired with the right Support pick, Sivir can prove to be one of the best champions to climb ranked in Patch 25.13.

Support

Milio

When it comes to Milio, it's all about enabling your carries. Use your [W] Cozy Campfire and [E] Warm Hugs to empower your ADC, letting them take over teamfights. Make sure you time your [R] Breath of Life well, though, as it can often prove to be the difference between life and death for your teammates.

Nami

The enchanter meta lives on in Patch 25.13. Like Milio, Nami excels at empowering your teammates, making her a favorite among ADC players. Use your [W] Ebb and Flow and [E] Tidecaller's Blessing to take over the early laning phase. During teamfights, save your [Q] Aqua Prison and [R] Tidal Wave to make space for your carries and crowd control enemies looking to take them out.

Braum

In a land of enchanters, a wild Braum appears. The Heart of the Freljord holds one of the highest win rates in Patch 25.13 (52.32%) due to his frontline capabilities and the oppressive nature of his [P] Concussive Blows. Make sure you try to abuse the strength of your passive early on, while using your [E] Unbreakable to protect your carries from incoming burst.

Keeping Up With the Meta

While no champion guarantees a free ride up the ladder, picking the right ones for the meta can tilt the odds heavily in your favor. Patch 25.13 has seen the rise and fall of several champions through the ranks. Mechanics and game knowledge will always be king, but if you're looking to maximize your LP gains this patch, these champions are your best bet. Queue up, lock in, and start climbing!
