Upon its release back in November of 2024, Season 2 of Arcane became an immediate success. Now, that success has carried over to 2025, where the show's second season has been rewarded with four Emmy Awards, which celebrate excellence in the television industry.

This places Arcane in exclusive company, with shows like Severance and The Studio also earning recognition at this year's Emmy Awards.

Arcane Season 2 Takes Four Emmy Awards

Season 2 of Arcane was rightfully honored by earning some of the most prestigious awards in the world of animated television. Here's the list of Emmy Awards earned by the show in 2025:

Outstanding Animated Program:

  • Winner: Arcane for "The Dirt Under Your Nails" (Season 2, Episode 9)
  • Nominee: Bob's Burgers for "They Slug Horses, Don't They?"
  • Nominee: Common Side Effects for "Cliff's Edge"
  • Nominee: Love, Death & Robots for "Spider Rose"
  • Nominee: The Simpsons for "Bart's Birthday"

Outstanding Sound Editing for an Animated Program:

  • Winner: Arcane for "The Dirt Under Your Nails" (Season 2, Episode 9)
  • Nominee: Love, Death & Robots for "400 Boys"
  • Nominee: Secret Level for "Warhammer 40,000"
  • Nominee: Star Trek: Lower Decks for "The New Next Generation"
  • Nominee: What If...? for "What If... 1872"

Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation:

Living Up to Season 1

After claiming a total of four awards at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards (2025), Arcane's second season matched the exact number of Emmys earned by Season 1 back in 2022.

The show's emphatic initial release was met with widespread acclaim from viewers and critics alike, earning Season 1 all of the following awards:

  • Outstanding Animated Program for "When These Walls Come Tumbling Down" (Season 1, Episode 6)
  • Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for "When These Walls Come Tumbling Down" (Season 1, Episode 6)
  • Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for "Happy Progress Day!" (Season 1, Episode 4)
  • Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for "The Boy Savior" (Season 1, Episode 7)

With each individual season of the show earning four Emmy Awards apiece, it's now clearer than ever that Arcane has been a smashing success from start to finish.
