Valorant Map Pool: Current Competitive Maps (V26 Act 6)
VALORANT operates on a 7-map pool that rotates every act. The maps that enter and exit the pool are not necessarily determined by length of stay, meaning the oldest in does not mean first out. For V26 Act 6, the map pool for Competitive play is:
- Summit
- Abyss
- Sunset
- Lotus
- Corrode
- Haven
- Bind

When Will the VALORANT Map Pool Change Next?
The VALORANT Map Pool rotates every first patch of each Act (roughly 2 months). The next rotation is expected to occur with V27 Act 1, which is currently projected for January 6-8, 2027.
Why Does Riot Games Rotate the Map Pool?
The idea behind the rotation system is to first and foremost, keep the game 'fresh' by consistently changing up the 7 maps players will encounter in their day-to-day Competitive climb. This also means that the game at the Pro Level is one that is consistently evolving to adapt to a changing pool.
As to why not keep all the maps in the active pool, the reason it is kept to 7 is that it prevents players from having to maintain a strong level of knowledge and understanding across too many maps at one time.
