Team Liquid has announced the return of the seasoned Brazilian coach, Wilton "zews" Prado, to the helm as their head coach. This marks his second stint with the organization, five years after his initial term. Rumors of this signing have been circulating since October, and now Team Liquid has made it official.

This announcement follows the recent signing of Felipe "skullz" Medeiros. And the departure of Damian "daps" Steele, who has since joined NRG as their In-Game Leader. Liquid's ambitious rebuild doesn't end here, with expectations of additional announcements, including the signing of Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken in the near future.

A Familiar Face Returns

Zews is no stranger to Team Liquid, having previously coached the team from 2017 to 2018. During this period, the squad achieved remarkable success, including a triumph at cs_summit 2, a second-place finish at ESL One New York and IEM Chicago, and a peak at the coveted No. 1 spot in the world rankings.

Since his time with Liquid, zews has navigated the coaching role with various teams, including MIBR, Evil Geniuses, O PLANO, and most recently Fluxo. His most notable achievements include winning 2 Major Championships with Luminosity and SK Gaming, leading Evil Geniuses to victory in the North American editions of BLAST Premier Spring, and winning ESL One Cologne 2020 during the online era.

Looking Ahead

As zews reassumes his role at the helm of Team Liquid, anticipation and excitement fill the air within the organization. The return of a coach with zews' track record not only brings a wealth of experience but also a strategic mindset that has proven successful in the past.

Team Liquid's decision to bring back this Brazilian strategist reflects their commitment to creating a winning formula. Blending the old and the new to forge a team capable of reaching new heights in the competitive landscape.

The organization, the players, and the fans alike will be watching closely as zews guides Team Liquid through the challenges that lie ahead. With the hope that his return will mark the beginning of another era of dominance for the renowned esports organization.
