Tier 2 just got really spicy.

Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi has just announced his new position as coach for the newly assembled Ruddy Sack team formed alongside Christian "IWillDominate" Rivera. The roster is composed of an incredibly stacked lineup - clout-wise - with Luka “Perkz” Perković and Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski serving as the primary headline veterans on this team.

Former Astralis Mid Laner Adam “LIDER” Ilyasov also makes his return to competitive play, his first since November 2023. European ranked demon “Humzh” makes the leap into competitive play, taking on the mantle of this team’s rookie. Former Golden Guardians Challenger player, Morgan “Hustlin” Granberg rounds out the bot lane with some much needed stability and experience.

A small but interesting part of the move is that Perkz will be role-swapping once again, for the 2nd time in his career, this time to the Top Lane. It would also be remiss to not note his reunion with Jankos. The former G2 teammates are most fondly remembered for being part of the legendary G2 roster of 2018-2020.

YamatoCannon and IWDominate Join Forces to Take on Los Ratones

Mebdi is most recently known for his time coaching Karmine Corp at the beginning of 2024 for one split before he and the French organization decided it best he stepped down as Head Coach. The Swedish coach and former professional player will be competing with his new team in the NLC (Northern League of Legends Championship), playing Tier 2 League of Legends.

IWillDominate, who will focus on content creation for the team, is a former LCS player for teams such as Dignitas, Curse, and Team Liquid who is now a podcast host and popular content creator who also functions as one of the main English co-streamers for the LPL in the West.

The two have joined forces with Ruddy Esports, co-owned by well-known content creator Jake “DonJake” Morley to form the new Ruddy Sack. The moniker of “The Sack” came to refer to the duo of Yamato and IWD, who began a podcast in 2024 called “The Sack Down”. Hence, Ruddy Sack.

YamatoCannon and DonJake will coach and run Ruddy Sack as a trio.

This deadly and unexpected concoction will be taking to the NLC streets to challenge none other than Los Ratones, a team coached by the one and only Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, another content creator funded team that has captured popularity and incredible following in recent weeks.
