If you're a big fan of Call of Duty, you're probably aware that there are numerous different Call of Duty Zombie games. In this article, we will cover the most popular Call of Duty Zombie games as well as which Call of Duty Zombies is the best. First, let's start with a few honourable mentions.

HB - CALL OF DUTY: WORLD WAR

Once the credits were rolling on the Call of Duty: World at War campaign, many players may have been frightened to see a few bodies running toward the camera. The game starts with a dark screen, and the title “Nazi Zombies”, appears. Round 1 starts, and Call of Duty hasn't been the same since.

In Call of Duty World at War, the creators of the game did an excellent job of developing the Zombies game mode, and so many aspects of it were perfect on the first try that most features remained. This includes the mystery box, round system, perks, and more. World at War will always be a classic Zombies experience.

HB - CALL OF DUTY: WORLD WAR 2

Call of Duty: World War 2 brings back the horror elements of the first COD Zombies game. It is set during the second world war, and you have to fight zombies. The zombies looked very gruesome and frightening. The crew was a star-studded cast of actors, from Ving Rhames to David Tennant.

Despite the cast, and the great detail of the world, the maps are somewhat lacking. The gameplay was different enough from other games to make the game fun, but there were too many advantages that made it easier than others.

HB - CALL OF DUTY: INFINITE WARFARE

With Infinite Warfare establishing their version of Zombies, things got more fun and campy. Infinite Warefare focused less on the horror aspects and introduced a new groove for the Zombies franchise. The first map is a theme park with 80s background music and features David Hasselhoff. The easter egg included aliens and the devil.

The maps had celebrity cameos like Kevin Smith as well as a different genre for each map. In one of the maps, you embark on a kung-fu adventure fighting the Zombie hordes. The developers at Infinity Ward definitely had some fun with this version of the zombie mode.

HB - CALL OF DUTY: ADVANCED WARFARE

Sledgehammer's version of the Call of Duty game, Advanced Warfare, has experimented with movement, rather than previous titles, which have relied more on shooting. Advanced jump-exoskeletons helped to give soldiers more mobility in their jumps, and even zombie jumpers had better flexibility.

The game featured a host of voice-over talent, such as John Malkovich, Jon Bernthal, and Bruce Campbell from Evil Dead. The gameplay was fun with a variety of maps. But it didn’t quite feel like a Treyarch title.

#3 - BLACK OPS 2

After the success of Zombies, Activision invested more time and money into the game. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, players saw the multiplayer engine in use for Zombies, and they also saw improvements in the matchmaking, leaderboards, and the tracking of stats.

Black Ops II featured a lot of interesting maps, and there were many famous easter eggs that players came to expect from the series. There are also some cool zombies features and other game modes included in the game.

#2 - CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS COLD WAR

In 2020, Cold War was released, and it performed better as a single-player, co-op game than as a multiplayer. Each update in the game has brought new content to this Zombies game mode, which is set in a wide, open world that boasts sandbox gameplay elements.

So to answer your question, which Call of Duty Zombies is the best? The most popular Call of Duty Zombies is...

#1- CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS

For many gamers, Black Ops is still considered the best Call of Duty Zombies game ever. It was the follow-up from World at War’s Nazi Zombies, and it developed game mode significantly, introducing legendary story with characters. It became a cult classic mode that led to 10+ years of Call of Duty Zombies, and is easily the best zombie game ever. To this day we can hear the sound of the power-up beverages or the Pack-a-Punch machine.
