Riot Games is rolling out Patch 10.02 for VALORANT, bringing a series of important bug fixes across all platforms. This update addresses gameplay inconsistencies, agent-specific issues, and observer bugs while also implementing improvements to Premier mode on PC. Let’s dive into the details of what’s getting fixed.

Bug Fixes for All Platforms

General

  • Fixed a critical issue where certain types of damage could leave players with Regen Shields at 1 HP instead of killing them.
    • This also resolves an issue where Clove could survive lethal damage when Regen Shield and Pick Me Up were active at the same time.

Agent Fixes

Vyse

  • Fixed a visual bug where Arc Rose and Razorvine would remain visible when placed on specific water surfaces.

Tejo

  • Fixed a rare issue where players could survive by running straight through the full duration of Armageddon, which should have been lethal.

Killjoy

  • Fixed a bug where Killjoy’s recall minimap indicator could become invisible under certain conditions.
  • Alarmbot logic has been updated to improve pathing:
    • In certain situations, the Alarmbot will now track enemies on ledges and explode if they are within range, rather than attempting to take an unnecessarily long path around the map.

Gameplay Systems

  • Fixed a bug where observers would see inconsistent player team outline colors, causing confusion during matches.

PC-Only Bug Fixes

Premier Mode

  • Fixed an issue where long team names overlapped on the playoff bracket screen.
  • Fixed a UI bug where dropdown menus on the standings page would cut off text.
  • Fixed a misalignment issue where division names were not properly displayed on the match history screen.

While Patch 10.02 doesn’t introduce any major balance changes, these bug fixes enhance overall gameplay stability and improve competitive integrity. Whether you’re a casual player, an observer, or a Premier competitor, these fixes should make your VALORANT experience smoother. Keep an eye out for future updates as Riot Games continues refining the game.
