VALORANT Mobile Halloween Mode Lets Eliminated Players Become Ghosts
VALORANT Mobile is getting a Halloween mode that lets players stay involved even after being eliminated. Called Trickster Invasion, the event turns eliminated players into ghosts who can interfere with those still alive.
VALORANT Mobile news account VINFO Mobile shared a preview of the new mode and reported that it will run from October 29 to November 11, 2026, in the Chinese version of the mobile shooter.
How Does Trickster Invasion Work in VALORANT Mobile?
Trickster Invasion is a Halloween-themed take on Swiftplay, the mode designed for shorter matches. The key difference is what happens after a player is eliminated: instead of simply spectating the rest of the round, they become a ghost and can keep helping their team.
Ghosts are invisible to enemies who are still alive and have their own movement abilities. Although their field of vision is limited, they can move silently, jump higher, and float around the map.
To support their teammates, eliminated players can create fake footstep sounds, trigger environmental mechanisms, and even reveal themselves to scare opponents. These actions can distract enemies and create opportunities for their surviving teammates.
There's also combat between ghosts. Eliminated players on opposing teams can fight each other with knives, but they cannot damage living players. When a ghost is defeated, it is sent back to its team's spawn point to wait to respawn.
Trickster Invasion will be available from October 29 to November 11, 2026 as part of VALORANT Mobile's Halloween celebrations in China.
When Is VALORANT Mobile Coming to the West?
For now, VALORANT Mobile is officially available only in China, where it launched on August 19, 2025, for Android and iOS. Developed in partnership with LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, the game brings Riot Games' tactical shooter to mobile devices with controls adapted for touchscreens.
Riot has said it plans to bring VALORANT Mobile to more players, but it has not announced an official release date or launch window for Western markets.
