Riot Games released "Know My Name" on Thursday, October 8, as the official anthem for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. Performed by True Damage, the track features SOYEON of i-dle, Coco Jones, Vic Mensa, and Sofía Reyes, alongside a music video celebrating the career of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and T1.

Riot had already announced True Damage's return in late September, marking the virtual group's first new song in seven years. "Know My Name" is the 13th official Worlds anthem and the first to be performed by one of Riot's established virtual music groups.

Faker and T1 Take Center Stage in the Music Video

As Riot previously revealed, the music video for "Know My Name" focuses on Faker's career and T1's historic run of three consecutive World Championship titles from 2023 to 2025.

The video revisits the challenges Faker has faced throughout his career, from defeats and setbacks to the comebacks that led to his most recent victories. Rather than focusing solely on his titles, the story follows the journey that made him the most decorated player in League of Legends history.

Riot had previously confirmed Faker's central role in the video. With six World Championship titles to his name, the Korean mid laner is once again featured prominently in a Worlds music video, having previously appeared in productions such as "RISE," "Phoenix," and "Heavy Is The Crown."

The music video was created in partnership with WIZZ, with animation direction by CRCR. Suzette Brissett Creatives handled True Damage's choreography.

Know My Name Lyrics Reflect Faker's Journey Back to the Top

Beyond its visual tribute to Faker, "Know My Name" explores themes of resilience, recognition, and overcoming setbacks. Those ideas closely align with T1's recent history, particularly the team's run of three consecutive World Championship titles after years of challenges and difficult losses.

The chorus centers on making a comeback after being written off, with imagery of rising from the ashes. It is a fitting parallel to Faker's career, especially the periods when questions surrounded his competitive future before he returned to claim more international titles.

The song also blends English, Korean, and Spanish, reflecting its international lineup of performers. Its lyrics include references to the League of Legends universe, including Ekko's Z-Drive and his ability to manipulate time. Other lines refer to futuristic weapons and combat, fitting the personalities and abilities of the True Damage champions.

As the song reaches its final section, its focus shifts toward making a name, overcoming hardships, and building a legacy. Together with the music video's portrayal of Faker, those themes connect True Damage's return to the story behind Worlds 2026.

True Damage Returns After Seven Years With New Voices

First introduced in 2019, True Damage is a virtual hip-hop group featuring five League of Legends champions: Akali, Ekko, Qiyana, Senna, and Yasuo. The group debuted with "GIANTS," which was performed during the opening ceremony of the Worlds 2019 final.

For "Know My Name," Riot brought back SOYEON as the voice of Akali while introducing three new artists to the lineup:

  • SOYEON (i-dle): Akali;
  • Coco Jones: Senna;
  • Vic Mensa: Ekko;
  • Sofía Reyes: Qiyana.

Yasuo rounds out the virtual lineup as the group's DJ and producer.

The track was produced by Sebastien Najand, who also shares writing credits with Ale Alberti, Alexis Boyd, Miranda Glory, Aejin Kwon, Natania Lalwani, Drew Love of the Daydreamers, and Vic Mensa. Ruby Smith handled mixing, while Dale Becker was responsible for mastering. Riot Games Music served as executive producer.

Beyond the release on music streaming platforms, True Damage is also scheduled to perform "Know My Name" live during the Worlds 2026 Grand Final Opening Ceremony on November 14 at Barclays Center in New York City.

Worlds 2026 Begins on October 15

"Know My Name" arrives one week before Worlds 2026 kicks off, with the Play-In Stage beginning on October 15 in Los Angeles.

The tournament will bring together teams from League of Legends' major competitive regions, including Brazil's CBLOL representatives. Check out the full list of teams qualified for Worlds 2026.
