Fnatic and G2 showed up to the Grand Finals of the LEC Season Finals ready to put on a show.

In what was a riveting back-and-forth game, the two European powerhouses put up the longest game of the year in the LEC after 51 minutes and 20 seconds of play. Of course, the longest game could come at no better time than the Grand Final.

A spectacle to behold

The historic rivals came to the Grand Finals ready to draw blood, and boy did it show.

Razork's early proactivity was in full display as the Spanish jungler seemingly kept popping up everywhere on the map, helping set up kills for Fnatic on BrokenBlade and Caps early on.

G2, however, were not to be messed with. Hans sama and Mikyx showcased the early power of the Kalista pick by bullying Oscarinin, killing Fnatic's top laner every time they came within whiffing distance of him. As early as 7 minutes in, the score was already 2-2, with neither team looking to stop the action.

Despite Fnatic's considerable kill lead after a bloody mid-game, the team was never able to hold on to a gold lead. G2's incredible understanding of the macro game shone brightly throughout the game, as the team constantly found themselves in favorable positions even despite the constant numbers disadvantage.

The longest game of the year

Having drafted Smolder for Humanoid in the mid lane, Fnatic was content letting the game draw out. All the while, the baby dragon continued to rack up the stacks.

Ultimately, however, Fnatic forfeited too much ground. With their base in tatters as G2's relentless pressure mounted, Fnatic managed to defend their nexus with several key members falling on both sides.

The aftermath saw Fnatic forced to stay home and defend their base while G2 claimed a free Elder Drake.

Armed to the teeth with buffs, G2 showed up to Fnatic's base ready for the final push.

Despite Humanoid and Noah's best attempts, G2 proved to the world that, even after more than 51 minutes of play, one thing will always remain true: real elder > baby elder.

After the exciting battle, Fnatic and G2 shattered the previous record for the longest game of the year in the LEC by a full 2 minutes.

Locke in League of Legends: Abilities, Playstyle, Release Date

Riot’s newest champion, Corvin Locke, arrives as a nail-slinging exorcist versed in forbidden rites, shaped by a childhood steeped in Demacian lies and hypocrisy. Born to Demacian occultists, Locke grew up learning a brutal lesson: demons are not the source of humanity’s darkness, but its consequence. That belief drives his mission now—to tear through every soul, expose its hidden rot, and make the world a little more honest, one exorcism at a time.
