The day before Team BDS vs MAD Lions KOI, BDS announced on X that Adam "Adam" Maanane will not be playing for the rest of the LEC Winter split. Instead, he would be replaced by JNX who was previously BDS' academy Top Laner. At the time of announcement, there was no indication as to the reason why Adam had left. More information as to the speculation at the time and related posts can be found here.

The Situation Unravels

A recent allegation has been made regarding their top laner's situation with BDS. BDS' decision to bench Adam from their roster is due to reported behavioral issues. Specifically his active toxicity towards teammates and staff. Multiple sources close to Sheep Esports have confirmed this decision.

Adam has a long history of accusations about toxic behavior both inside and outside the game. His behavior seems to have resurfaced within BDS. The sources reveal there have been frequent instances of mocking, flaming, and disrespectful behavior towards his coaches and teammates. Marking a troubling trend in his conduct, it can only indicate that his behavior has escalated over the years.

Recent weeks have witnessed a deterioration in Adam's behavior with reports of him tilting in team practices and abrupt exits from scrims out of frustration. He had also engaged in a heated altercation with the team's head coach, Yanis "Striker" Kella.

While the team benches Adam for these previously detailed reasons, it is still unclear whether the team will completely remove him from the roster or if he will play with BDS again starting the 2024 Spring Split. It is also uncertain whether JNX, who arguably had a decent performance in BDS' recent match given the circumstances, will become part of BDS' main roster or go back to the academy roster.
