Join us as we take a closer look at all of the easter eggs and fun facts about the upcoming T1 Worlds skins!

Detailed skin highlights

Jayce (Zeus)

  • Lighting choices: Zeus requested blue lighting for Jayce's default skin and yellow for the alternate.
  • Championship symbolism: A red star on Jayce's left shoulder signifies T1's World Championship victories.
  • Zeus' tenacity: Jayce's recall shows five lightning strikes, which represent Zeus's five second-place finishes in major tournaments before his eventual triumph at Worlds 2023. These were MSI 2022, LCK Summer 2022, Worlds 2022, LCK Spring 2023, LCK Summer 2023.
  • Original wish: Zeus debated between picking Jayce or Yone for his Worlds Skin, but ultimately felt sorry for Jayce as he was surprised the champion did not have a Worlds skin yet. Was also dissuaded from picking Yone because he thinks mid laners are better at the champion.
  • Worlds Finals MVP: The Prestige skin replaces the Worlds trophy with the MVP trophy during the recall animation, which Zeus earned for his performance in the Finals.

Lee Sin (Oner)

  • Martial arts theme: Oner's skin includes tiger-themed elements, such as scratches on the chest and shoulder decorations. These are used as a way of reflecting Oner's martial arts background.
  • Homage to Bengi: During the skin's recall animation, T1 Lee Sin appears with the SKT T1 Lee Sin skin, made for Bengi after his victory in the 2013 World Championship with T1 and Faker. There is a playful interaction between the two skins which references the "Spider-Man pointing" meme. Oner personally requested this to honor Bengi's legacy.
  • Fashion sense:  The skin includes Oner's signature jacket drape, which comes into effect during the recall animation for his Lee Sin skin.

Orianna (Faker)

  • AI concept: Inspired by Faker's interest in artificial intelligence, Orianna's skin portrays an AI with human-like qualities.
  • Symbolic elements: The skin features a 4-star crown and red wings, symbolizing T1 and the 4 times the organization has won Worlds with Faker at the helm.
  • Four-time champ: All elements of the skin are reduced to the number four, representing Faker's fourth World Championship victory. The ultimate ability, Shockwave (R), displays the four core items of Faker's signature champion, blended into the animation.
  • Cultural inspirations: The skin references the Ilwol Obongdo painting, depicting the completion of the royal court, which was referenced in the 2023 Worlds Semi-final teaser. The skin also references the Imugi legend, symbolizing ascension, which was represented in the 2023 Worlds Finals teaser.

Jinx (Gumayusi)

  • Personal theme: Gumayusi's skin theme revolves around his pet dog, Doongi, and mirrors Star Guardian Jinx. Jinx's tiara features a red star for T1's four championships, and her weapon showcases crimson and blue hues.
  • Recall details: The recall animation shows Jinx trying to high-five Doongi, who playfully turns away, concluding with Jinx performing Gumayusi's signature pose.

Bard (Keria)

  • Folklore and fandom: Keria's Bard skin resembles a rabbit, connecting to Korean folklore about rabbits and the moon, as well as Keria's admiration for the girl group 'New Jeans'.
  • Musical evolution: A lot of attention went into the champion's sound effects. Bard's Caretaker Shrine (W) skill grows a flower accompanied by a folk song that evolves through five stages with each collected bell.
  • Bittersweet recall: The recall animation features Bard encountering Battle Academia Lux, crying. Keria originally wanted Lux for his Worlds skin, but could not choose the champion as he had not picked it during Worlds 2023. During the recall, Bard soon comforts Lux and they both lift the trophy together. It is worth noting that Keria played Battle Academia Lux during the 2022 Worlds Finals, which T1 lost to DRX.

These skins not only celebrate T1's triumphant 2023 Worlds path but also embody each player's personal journey and preferences, making them a meaningful addition to the game's already rich lore.

The T1 Worlds 2023 skin bundle will be available starting from the 30th of July on the PBE and on the live servers from the 14th of August. T1 players will participate in an event on the 5th of August, to speak on the creativity behind their Worlds' skins as well as discuss their 2023 Worlds run.

Orange chromas will also be made available following the skins release.

Base motifs insights

The 2023 T1 Worlds skins are themed around the "Four Gods," symbolizing T1's royalty and Faker's legendary status. These skins incorporate Korean elements to celebrate T1's victory in Korea for the first time in five years, aiming to evoke a sense of godly ascension. The design also reflects the team's journey through hardship, adversity, and recovery.

The distinct white and gold color scheme, suggested by the players based on the jersey colour they wore for the finals, represents victory. This base is enhanced with blue and crimson, representing sources of power. The team specifically requested a "fantasy-filled crimson flame" instead of a pure red to capture a more mystical essence.

Born to Demacian occultists, Locke grew up learning a brutal lesson: demons are not the source of humanity’s darkness, but its consequence. That belief drives his mission now—to tear through every soul, expose its hidden rot, and make the world a little more honest, one exorcism at a time.
