Four Counter-Strike 2 organizations—BC.Game, BetBoom, 1w Team (also known as 1win), and PARIVISION—are set to undergo mandatory name and logo changes for the upcoming PGL Major Singapore 2026.
Local Gambling Regulations Force Brand Adjustments
According to reports originating from esports insider channels, the forced rebrand stems from Singapore's strict legal restrictions regarding gambling advertising.
Organizations directly tied to iGaming operations that do not hold a valid local Singaporean gambling license are prohibited from displaying their standard branding.
This regulatory mandate affects not only the teams' official broadcast names and organizational logos, but also their in-game stickers for the event.
A 24-Hour Rebranding Window
Tournament organizers reportedly imposed a tight deadline, granting the four affected clubs just 24 hours to select and submit neutral alternative branding. This means competing under new names, logos, and sticker designs throughout the event.
Teams have already initiated a soft launch of these identity shifts by altering their official broadcast names in recent CS tournaments—PARIVISION has become "PVision", BetBoom Team is now "BB Team", and 1win has long competed under the moniker "1w Team."
The teams will likely use these established tags as the basis for their new logos and official tournament assets.
Precedents Across Counter-Strike and Dota 2
This situation is not without precedent in esports or in CS2 itself. During Dota 2's The International 2026 in Shanghai, similar local advertising constraints required BetBoom Team to compete under the moniker BoomBoys, while PARIVISION adopted Team Vision and 1win competed as Iron Wing.
Furthermore, Valve has previously demonstrated a firm stance on sponsor-linked iconography within Counter-Strike. At the Budapest 2025 Major, Valve intervened after Imperial Esports introduced a team sticker that mirrored their sponsor Gamdom's logo.
Valve swiftly restored Imperial's original logo to maintain clear boundaries between team branding and gambling promotion. As PGL Major Singapore approaches, fans await the officially approved alternative logos for these four contenders.
