The second game of VCT Pacific 2024 Mid-season Playoffs day 2 featured a rematch of rivals DRX and Paper Rex. With VALORANT Masters Shanghai qualification on the line, the two rivals duked it out.

The best-of-three series extended to all three maps, with both teams vying for the coveted international event spot. DRX was especially eager to make a return to the international stage after missing out on Madrid.

DRX 1-2 Paper Rex:

The game started on Lotus, a map Paper Rex has been looking stronger than ever on. Their streak on the map continues as they secured a strong 8-4 lead on the map. They then converted the lead into a solid 13-6 victory.

Paper Rex’s momentum carried over on Ascent, despite the 7-5 scoreline. DRX held on and came back in the second half to edge out their opponent to force a third map.

The PRX offense overwhelmed DRX on Bind, the Korean side was completely outclassed and the VALORANT Champions 2023 runner-ups won another of the Pacific-classico.

With this, Paper Rex have qualified for another international event. They will face T1 tomorrow for a chance to qualify for VCT Pacific Mid-season Playoffs Grand Finals.

The VCT Pacific action resume tomorrow with Upper Finals at 05:00 PM KST. You can catch the action live on YouTube and Twitch. You can also follow the game on Strafe.
