Blizzard has unveiled the latest addition to the Overwatch 2 roster: Juno. A new gameplay trailer has been released, giving fans a first look at this exciting new support hero and her unique set of abilities.

Originally teased under the codename Space Ranger at BlizzCon 2023, Juno is ready to make her debut and shake up the battlefield.

Roles and Abilities

Juno is being introduced as a Support Hero and has a kit to match. Here is a list of all her abilities:

  • Mediblaster (Primary Fire)
    • Juno wields the Mediblaster, a versatile burst fire weapon that heals allies and damages enemies. This dual-purpose tool ensures that Juno can contribute both offensively and defensively, making her a valuable asset in any team composition.
  • Pulsar Torpedoes (Secondary Fire)
    • With her Pulsar Torpedoes, Juno can lock onto targets before firing homing projectiles. These torpedoes provide healing over time for allies and deal damage to enemies, offering sustained support throughout engagements.
  • Glide Boost
    • Juno's Glide Boost ability allows her to glide horizontally with increased movement speed. This mobility option helps her quickly traverse the battlefield, positioning herself optimally to support teammates.
  • Hyper Ring
    • Juno can deploy the Hyper Ring, which increases the movement speed of allies who pass through it. This ability is perfect for initiating engagements or providing a swift retreat for her team.
  • Martian Overboots (Passive)
    • Juno's passive ability, Martian Overboots, grants her the power to double jump and hover in the air. This dynamic movement capability provides her with unparalleled flexibility in positioning and evasion.
  • Orbital Ray (Ultimate)
    • Juno's ultimate ability, Orbital Ray, calls down a powerful ray that travels forward, healing allies and increasing their damage. This ultimate can turn the tide of battle, providing significant buffs to her team during critical moments.

Release Date and Early Access

Juno is set to be released in Season 12 of Overwatch 2, which begins on Tuesday, August 27. Players can look forward to exploring her abilities and integrating her into their strategies once the update goes live at 11:00 am PT | 7:00 pm BST | 8:00 pm CET.

Before her official release, Blizzard is offering a limited-time trial for Juno. From July 19 through July 21, players will have the opportunity to try out Juno's kit and get a feel for her playstyle. This trial period is a great chance for players to familiarize themselves with Juno's abilities and start planning how to incorporate her into their team compositions.

During the trial period, Juno will be playable in all game modes except Competitive. Additionally, she will be featured in the No Limits mode in the Overwatch arcade, allowing all players in a match to choose Juno without the rush to select her first.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach Juno's release, and get ready to welcome this new support hero to Overwatch 2.
