PvP update

The new season promises multiple changes to the competitive landscape.

  • 50 new Hero-specific perks (Atleast one new perk for every hero)

  • It measures your performance on each individual Hero in Competitive, separate from your overall rank.
  • Each Hero earns a Skill Rating from 0 to 5000, represented by both a numeric score and a tier bracket (Bronze → Champion). You unlock a Hero’s SR after playing five placement matches with that Hero.
  • While you’re still placing, you’ll see a Predicted SR as a preview of where you might land.
  • After each Competitive match, your Top 3 most-used Heroes show SR gains or losses, letting you track progress in real time.
  • Hero SR is built into your Competitive Overview and Career Profile for easy viewing and comparison.
  • The system is built for personal mastery, helping you sharpen your best Heroes or discover new favorites with data that supports your climb.

Overhauled Hero Progression

  • Hero Progression 2.0 rebuilds the leveling system with faster progress, a cleaner UI, and a permanent prestige feature.
  • Each Hero now levels up individually, showing exactly where you’ve invested your time.
  • The new Ascended system awards animated portrait borders at milestone levels 20, 40, and 60.
  • Ascended borders display automatically in Hero Select and are permanent once earned.
  • Early levels unlock quickly, then progress evens out to about 100 minutes per level after level 21.Loot Boxes are earned at key milestones: Base at level 5, Epics at levels 25, 35, and 45, and Legendaries at levels 30, 40, and 50.
  • Ascended isn’t tied to Hero-specific cosmetics, but gives lasting visual prestige across your roster.
