MSI and Worlds 2026 Locations and Dates Confirmed! CBLOL Gets Extra Slots at Worlds

The success of League of Legends First Stand 2026 to whet our appetites has delivered with exciting matchups and entrancing storylines. As we march towards the final match day, updates for the remaining slew of internationals this year have arrived.

MSI 2026 Lands in Korea

As confirmed last year, MSI 2026 will return to Korea after 3 years. The last time the tournament was hosted in South Korea, we bore witness to RNG lifting the title, all the way back in 2022. In lieu of Busan though, this time we are treated to Daejeon, a picturesque locale to set the stage for the mid-year international faceoff.

  • Date: June 28th – July 12th
  • Location: Daejeon Convention Center (Daejeon, South Korea)
  • No. of Teams: 11

Tickets are set to go on sale on April 23rd for global audiences and on May 21st for South Korea.

Worlds 2026 Visits 3 Cities

In a shift from earlier announcements, Worlds 2026 will see the biggest League of Legends tournament of the year pass through 3 iconic North American cities: Los Angeles (Play-Ins), Dallas (Swiss Stage and Semis), and New York (Finals).

  • Date: October 15th – November 14th
  • Locations:
    • Play-Ins -> Riot Games Arena, Los Angeles, California
    • Swiss Stage/Semis -> Credit Union of Texas Event Center, Allen, Dallas, Texas
    • Grand Finals -> Barclays Center, New York, New York
  • No. of Teams: 19

Ticketing information is still being awaited.

CBLOL Success Rewarded on International Stage

The recent success of the CBLOL circuit following its reintroduction this year is seeing swift rewards. Riot Games has announced that Worlds 2026 will see an additional slot awarded to the region, bringing the total to 2. With the recent notable rise of LYON as well as other historic CBLOL teams, the prospect of getting to send more teams to the biggest tournament of the year is an undeniably exciting one.
