After a successful event in Madrid, VCT Masters will now take us to Shanghai. Scheduled for the 23rd May, VALORANT Masters Shanghai will feature 12 teams from the 4 International Leagues.

The Mercedes Benz Arena, formerly known as the Shanghai World Expo Cultural Centre, will host the finals weekend of the event. With a total capacity of 18,000, it will be the biggest international VCT venue yet.

The event will follow after VALORANT Masters Madrid, the most successful VCT event to date. Madrid set multiple records and was the most watched VCT event thus far. A total of 3.1 million peak concurrent viewership, a 48% increase over Masters Tokyo in 2023.

Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT esports, speaking on Madrid and Shanghai, said:

"Masters Madrid surpassed our expectations, and we're using that momentum to implement exciting updates to our next event. We are introducing a new segment that will increase competition stakes by giving higher seeded teams the power to choose their opponents following the Swiss stage, thus placing their fate in their own hands."

By this weekend, the playoffs across all the International Leagues will conclude, and we will get the twelve teams that will be competing on the biggest Valorant stage.

The VALORANT Masters Group Draw will follow the VCT Americas finals on May 12th. The draw will set the initial matches for the tournament. You can catch the draw live on Twitch and YouTube.
