Now that the North and South Conferences of the LTA have wrapped up Split 1, it's time for the first cross-conference event of the new league. With each region's pride on the line, the LTA Americas Stage of Split 1 will decide which team will be the LTA representative at First Stand, the new international tournament.

The first round of matches of the Americas Stage are set to take place this Saturday, February 15th. So, let's go ahead and take a look at our predictions for the Quarterfinals of the tournament.

100 Thieves vs paiN Gaming

This is perhaps the most difficult matchup to predict going into the LTA Americas Stage. While 100 Thieves managed to secure the #1 seed in their conference, they are arguably only the third or even fourth best team from the North. Meanwhile, paiN Gaming has enough experience on the roster not to shy away from going to battle against a bigger foe.

For the Thieves, the key will lie in their mid-jungle duo of Quid and River. If 100 Thieves want to progress further into the tournament for a chance to head to First Stand, they will need their two South Korean players to bring their A-game to take on a team that will look to push them to the limit.

Prediction: 100 Thieves 2 - 1 paiN Gaming

Leviatan vs FlyQuest

Despite Leviatan's good showing in the LTA South to come in as the #2 seed, the team should really pose no threat for a FlyQuest squad that was able to go toe-to-toe with one Gen.G just months ago.

Make no mistake, this Leviatan squad are no slouches. In fact, the team has three former LLA champions on the roster, and have played some great League of Legends so far. The problem for LEV, however, is that they have struggled to close out games. Against a team like FlyQuest, that's a mistake you simply can't afford to make.

Isurus Estral vs Team Liquid

With losses to 100 Thieves and FlyQuest over in the North, Team Liquid haven't looked like the same team that dominated the LCS last year. Admittedly, Isurus Estral's run in the LTA South wasn't exactly smooth either despite their first place finish.

Still, this may be the South's best shot at taking down a former LCS team, putting South American League of Legends on the map in the process. For this to come to be, Josedeodo will need to exploit TL's biggest weakness by getting the best of UmTi in the jungle.

Prediction: Isurus Estral 2 - 1 Team Liquid

Cloud9 vs LOUD

Winsome better have some secret intel on Cloud9 from his time with the team in 2022 if LOUD wants any chance at upsetting C9 at the Americas Stage.

In all seriousness, though, Cloud9 has looked fantastic to start the year with an aggressive and decisive approach to the game. On the other side of this match we have a LOUD team that had to pull off several heroics to even get to this point. Unfortunately for LOUD, the road ahead looks hard to tread.

Prediction: Cloud9 2 - 0 LOUD
