A staple for the LEC broadcast, Trevor “Quickshot” Henry has announced his departure from Riot Games.

The long-time caster was surprisingly missing from the 2024 LEC Winter Split Lineup. He was also missing from the following Spring Split and the community exclaimed at the veteran’s absence.

Today, Quickshot took to his X/Twitter to inform the community about the departure from Riot Games:

“I am officially a freelancer and no longer employed by Riot Games. I’m proud of the part I’ve played in the LEC over the years, but I’m ready to take on new projects. In anticipation of people asking, I don’t expect to be on the LEC broadcast.”

Quickshot started his League journey in 2010 after Call of Duty 4 and played professionally, later transitioned to casting in 2012.

Riot Games hired him as the Community Coordinator in 2013 for the EU LCS initiative. He has since been a permanent name in the European League of Legends scene. He most recently casted the LEC 2023 season finals.

In the video update, Quickshot also said that he won’t be working with Riot Games anymore. He concluded the video update thanking the community and colleagues and friends he made along the way.

Quickshot’s removal is rumored to be the result of a Worlds 2023 controversial “Do the Hitler” clip. The reason is also discussed by Thorin and Montecristo in the Summoning Insight.

If it is the reason for Quickshot’s removal, it won’t be the first time Riot Games have separated themselves from controversy. Not too long ago, they suspended Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez for partying with the controversial Andrew Tate and doubling down on the figure’s ideas.

But Quickshot has been an integral part of LEC and removing him over a clip, without giving another chance is weird from Riot Games.

As for Quickshot, He has said he’d explore his future opportunities and feels freer with the kind of work he can do. Unfortunately for all the LEC fans, we won’t see him on the broadcast, atleast not anytime soon.
