Riot Games has officially unveiled ticketing details for this year's League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), outlining a structured rollout that prioritizes verified fans while aiming to curb bot-driven purchases ahead of one of esports’ biggest global events.

Ticket Sales Dates

The Worlds 2026 ticketing process begins with the return of the “Fan First” system, designed to give genuine players early access. Registrations open on June 1 at 8:00 AM PDT and will remain live until June 30 at 8:00 AM PDT.

Eligible fans who complete verification will gain access to the presale, which begins on July 22 at 8:00 AM PDT. General admission ticket sales will follow shortly after on July 24 at 8:00 AM PDT, operating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fan First Verification Explained

Riot is once again leveraging its Fan First Verification system to prioritize legitimate players and reduce automated scalping. Fans must sign in via their Riot ID through the official lolesports.com/tickets portal and select their preferred event stage and location.

Verification includes email authentication tied to Riot accounts, alongside internal checks such as in-game behavior. Importantly, the Ticketmaster account email must match the Riot account email to complete any purchase.

Once verified, fans will receive a unique one-time access code via email. This code grants entry into Ticketmaster’s “Smart Queue,” where users can join a virtual line to purchase tickets. Each verified user will have a 24-hour window to complete their purchase once their ticket slot becomes active.

Event Structure and Locations

Worlds 2026 will follow a multi-stage format across three major U.S. cities.

  • The Play-In Stage will take place at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, California, offering a familiar start to the tournament.
  • The Swiss Stage, along with the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, will be hosted at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, part of the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
  • The tournament will culminate in the Grand Final at the iconic Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, marking a high-profile finish on one of esports’ biggest stages.

General Sale and Final Notes

For those who miss out on Fan First access, general admission tickets will be available starting July 24. However, given historical demand for Worlds tickets, availability is expected to be extremely limited.

Riot has also encouraged fans to follow official updates via @lolesports and the #Worlds2026 hashtag, with further details on venues, schedules, and experiences expected in the coming weeks.

With demand set to peak once again, early registration and verification will be critical for fans hoping to secure a seat at Worlds 2026.
