As the League of Legends 2024 World Championship nears, fans are buzzing with excitement about one of the most anticipated parts of the tournament: the release of the official Worlds anthem.

Riot Games have confirmed that the Worlds anthem, including the full music video, will drop on September 24th.

The track, much more than a song, will serve as the backdrop to some of the most epic moments of Worlds, setting the tone for the tournament and elevating the hype to new levels.

Could Linkin Park be our Worlds Anthem band?

While Riot has yet to officially announce the artist behind this year’s anthem, rumors are swirling that it could be none other than Linkin Park.

Interactions between Riot's LoL Esports account and the band on social media first began fueling excitement about a possible collaboration.

The stars align for Linkin Park and the Worlds Anthem

Several hints point towards Linkin Park's involvement with the new Worlds anthem.

The band recently released a new album with a track called "Heavy is the Crown". The title, combined with Riot’s teaser for the Worlds anthem icon, has only intensified the rumors.

Additionally, Linkin Park recently announced Emily Armstrong to be the band's new lead vocalist. With Emily filling in for the late Chester Bennington, are fans will be eager to hear the band's new sound. The Worlds anthem, then, could provide both Linkin Park and Riot Games with the perfect opportunity to elevate the hype.

And in case that wasn't enough, Linkin Park is also scheduled to perform at the O2 Arena in London on the very same day the anthem is set to release—September 24th. The coincidence has fans speculating whether the band could be involved in both the anthem and a live performance at the World Championship.

Worlds 2024: The Perfect Fusion of Music and Esports

Worlds anthems have a reputation for becoming iconic within the gaming community. Past anthems have featured artists like Imagine Dragons, Lil Nas X, and NewJeans, each bringing their unique flavor to the tournament.

With the biggest teams in the world preparing to battle for the trophy, the stage is set for a thrilling Worlds 2024, and the anthem will no doubt play a huge role in the fan experience.
