The Valorant 2023 season is just around the corner, starting with multiple challenger leagues worldwide. Starting with Brazil, Knights Arena will host the North American Valorant Challenger League starting next month. The Valorant NA challengers will have teams all over North America fighting for a chance to participate in the Ascension tournament. The ascension tournament will be the entry for the teams in the international league.

The Knights Valorant NA Challengers season will kick off on January 9th and feature an Open Qualifier for the Challengers League's first split.

Knights Valorant NA Challengers 2023 Format:

The challengers league will feature six components with two challenger league splits, a mid-season invitational tournament, the last chance qualifier, and a challengers league playoffs for the Americas Ascension tournament contention. Throughout the season, the teams will earn challengers points, which will help them secure a spot in the Challenger playoffs. The tournament will feature Valorant Patch 5.12 in the first two weeks.

The action will kick off with the Open Qualifiers for the challengers league before the Challengers Split 1. The Open Qualifier will feature 256 teams. When this number is reduced to 32, the teams will play in a double-elimination bracket BO3 format for four slots in the Challengers Split 1. Followed by the Challengers LCQ, which will add two more teams to make a total of six teams at the Valorant Challengers Split 1. Additionally, six more teams will be invited directly by knights arena based on the 2022 performance. These 12 teams will play the Knights Valorant NA Challengers in 2023.

The first split will have the 12 teams divided into groups of six and will play in a round-robin fashion to determine the seeding. The mid-season invitational will feature the top eight teams at the end of split 1, playing for prize money and challengers' points. The Challengers' points will determine the seeding of the second Challengers Split 2. Split 2 will award more points.

The Challengers playoffs will feature eight teams in the Challenger points leaderboard taking on each other in a BO3 double-elimination bracket tournament. Only the top 2 teams from the Challengers Playoffs will qualify for the Americas Ascension tournament. A single team from the Americas will win the Ascension league and get a direct seat in the International League.
