According to the report from Sheep Esports’ Anonimotum, the 2023 VALORANT Champion and Evil Geniuses star Alexander "jawgemo" Mor will be joining G2 Esports for the upcoming VCT 2025 season.

Coming off a rough 2024 season with Evil Geniuses that saw the team struggling to qualify for international tournaments despite coming very close, Jawgemo was linked with multiple teams. The initial reports suggested the Cambodian trialing for Sentinels, Leviatán and more.

EG was the first Tier 1 team for Jawgemo, when he joined the team in 2022, after a year with T1 academy. Together with the team, Jawgemo went on a well-known miracle run in 2023, that saw them lift the VALORANT Champions trophy and become the first ever Cambodian to do so.

The other end of the transaction, G2 Esports, were a big surprise for 2024. After a disappointing VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff, they replaced neT with Icy. After the move, the “Ascended” team went on a strong run to not only qualify for Shanghai and Seoul but were one of the top teams at the tournament.

Despite their strong runs in 2024, they fell short of the top placement and were looking to bring in more experience. Initially they were linked with Derke alongside others but eventually decided to go with Jawgemo.

Jawgemo’s addition brings in much needed experience to the squad. He is also much more stable and flexible as compared to a lot of his peers in the same role. With the VALORANT meta heading in an unknown direction in 2025, the flexibility plays a key part in choosing Jawgemo over other players.

The expected G2 Esports VCT 2025 squad:

If the squad retains the rest of the players, the G2 Esports will be one of the biggest threats in all of VCT Americas.

Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
