Fluxo W7M Sends FURIA Home from Six Invitational 2026

Fluxo W7M Sends FURIA Home from Six Invitational 2026

FURIA's dream run at the Six Invitational 2026 came to a crushing end today as they fell to fellow Brazilians Fluxo W7M in the Lower Bracket Quarterfinals at the Adidas Arena in Paris. One of Rainbow Six Siege's elite teams couldn't find their rhythm when it mattered most, losing the all-Brazilian elimination match and leaving the tournament far earlier than anyone expected.

A Strong Start Turns Sour

FURIA arrived in Paris as one of the tournament favorites, entering among the world's top-ranked teams. The Brazilian squad looked sharp through the group stage, putting together impressive wins over Team Heretics and Weibo Gaming. They were clicking at the right time, and everything pointed toward another deep playoff run on the biggest stage in Rainbow Six.

Then came the Upper Bracket Semifinals against Team Falcons. FURIA ran into a brick wall, falling 0-2 and dropping into the dangerous Lower Bracket. That loss meant one thing: there was no margin for error anymore. One more defeat and they'd be booking flights home from Paris.

The Clash Nobody Expected

Facing Fluxo W7M in an elimination match wasn't just difficult because of the stakes; it was personal. Both teams knew each other inside and out, having battled countless times in Brazilian domestic competition. Fluxo had been building momentum throughout the tournament, knocking out Oxygen Esports and Spacestation Gaming to reach this moment.

For FURIA, the pressure was immense. Fans expected them to bounce back after the Falcons loss, to show they still had what it takes on the international stage. But Fluxo W7M came ready to prove they belonged here just as much as their more decorated countrymen. The underdog energy was real, and they weren't going to let FURIA's reputation intimidate them.

Reality Hits Hard

This elimination stings for multiple reasons. FURIA came to Paris with championship aspirations and the firepower to back it up. They'd acquired the Six Invitational 2024-winning roster from w7m esports back in early 2024, creating a superteam built specifically for moments like this. Yet when the tournament reached its critical stage, they couldn't deliver.

The silver lining? FURIA proved they can still hang with the best. Their 2-0 sweep of Weibo Gaming in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals showed they have what it takes to compete at the highest level. The talent is there, the strategy is sound, and the experience runs deep.

For now though, the Hammer (Rainbow Six Siege's ultimate championship trophy) will have to wait. Fluxo W7M moves forward while FURIA heads home, left to wonder what might have been at the Six Invitational 2026.
