The Group Stage of FISSURE Universe Episode 6 has officially concluded, and we now know the six teams advancing to the playoffs. Among them, Team Spirit came back in full force, securing a flawless record, while Team Liquid topped Group B to claim their spot in the Upper Bracket. With both squads eyeing The International 2025, they already look like strong contenders for this year’s Aegis.

Meanwhile, the second and third-placed teams from each group have been placed in the Lower Bracket, where they will battle through the Quarterfinals. Unfortunately, the bottom teams in both groups have been eliminated, heading home without prize money but with plenty to reconsider before the upcoming International.

FISSURE Universe Episode 6: Group Stage Results

Group A

Group A was dominated by Team Spirit, who displayed no weaknesses throughout the stage. They finished with a perfect 4-0-0 record (wins-draws-losses), proving once again why they are considered one of the best teams in the world.

In second place, Team Falcons secured a solid 3-0-1 record. Their only loss came against Spirit, but their overall performance reinforced the notion that they are well on their way to recovering from their long slump.

BetBoom Team clinched third place after a critical victory against AVULUS on the final day of the group stage, narrowly avoiding elimination. Sadly, both Gaimin Gladiators and AVULUS failed to advance. AVULUS, in particular, struggled immensely, finishing the tournament without scoring a single point. Unless drastic changes happen, roster adjustments may be inevitable for them.

Group B

On the other side, Group B was topped by Team Liquid, who closed the stage with a 3-0-1 record, matching Falcons in strength. Despite a strong year, PARIVISION had an inconsistent run, ultimately finishing second with a 1-3-0 record. Their only win came against Virtus.pro on Day 3, but their struggles highlight the challenges they still face heading into TI 2025.

Aurora Gaming secured third place, surviving elimination due to their win against Team Tidebound. Meanwhile, Tidebound and Virtus.pro were both knocked out. VP’s only highlight was a tie against Aurora, as they lost all other matches. Given that Virtus.pro won’t be competing at The International 2025, this result essentially marks the end of their competitive season.

FISSURE Universe Episode 6: Playoffs Schedule

With the groups wrapped up, attention now shifts to the Playoffs, where the stakes get higher and the pressure sharper. While later matchups depend on results, we already know the schedule for the first day of action on August 23rd:

Matchup Analysis

Team Falcons vs. Aurora Gaming

The day kicks off with Team Falcons clashing against Aurora Gaming. Both squads occupy that tricky “in-between” space — not quite among the elite Tier 1 teams, but clearly stronger than most competition.

Out of the two, Team Falcons have shown far greater consistency in recent events, and unless Aurora pulls off an upset, Falcons are favored to advance. Their momentum makes them dangerous, but the real question is whether they can maintain this consistency all the way to The International 2025.

PARIVISION vs. BetBoom Team

Next up, PARIVISION faces BetBoom Team in what has quickly become a new Eastern European classic. Historically, PARIVISION holds the edge, but recent struggles cast doubt on whether they can maintain that dominance.

While the odds lean slightly in PARI’s favor, a BetBoom victory would not be shocking. For PARIVISION, this series is about more than just advancing — it’s about proving they can recover from their shaky pre-TI form and show stability before the year’s biggest stage.

Team Spirit vs. Team Liquid

The highlight of the day is undoubtedly Team Spirit vs. Team Liquid. Spirit enters the match as clear favorites, boasting a spotless record and fresh off their Esports World Cup 2025 championship.

Liquid, however, cannot be underestimated. While they’ve developed a reputation as perennial runners-up, they remain one of the strongest rosters in the world. With The International only weeks away, this clash could set the tone for both teams. The winner secures a direct spot in the Grand Finals, while the loser will have to battle their way back through the Lower Bracket.

This is more than just a playoff match — it’s a showdown between two potential three-time TI champions, each eager to cement their place in history.

Closing Thoughts

The first day of the FISSURE Universe Episode 6 Playoffs offers fans multiple compelling storylines. Team Falcons are riding the momentum of a long-awaited comeback, desperate to keep their streak alive. PARIVISION, on the other hand, are fighting to regain balance and confidence before TI.

And then, of course, there’s the blockbuster clash between Team Spirit and Team Liquid — a battle that could define not just this event, but also the expectations for The International 2025.

The stakes are high, the narratives are rich, and the action promises to be thrilling. Stay tuned to the tournament page and the Strafe news section for full coverage, analysis, and updates as the playoffs unfold.
