The Esports World Cup Foundation has announced the creation of a new initiative which will see music play a larger role at the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC). The 'Music of EWC' program will feature original tracks from some of the most legendary studios and producers on the globe, as well as an open competition with amazing opportunities.

Music of EWC: On the shoulders of giants

The new initiative will be spearheaded by some of the leading figures in the music industry, including tracks recorded at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios. The renowned studio helped create tracks and albums for names such as Pink Floyd or Adele, and even legendary movies and video games such as Star Wars, Avengers: Endgame, Halo, or World of Warcraft.

The upcoming EWC soundtrack will feature original compositions made by legendary developers such as 2WEI (creators of several popular anthems for League of Legends), and Hollywood Scoring (who helped create the music of Star Wars as well as Arcane). With such prominent figures spearheading the project, music is set to play an important role at the Esports World Cup 2025.

The event, which will run from July 7th to August 24th and feature of some of the biggest esports competitions in the world, will make use of the complete 'Music of EWC' soundtrack across tournament broadcasts, on-site events, and digital content throughout.

“At its core, the Esports World Cup is about community - a global platform that connects people and elevates talent in all forms. Music of EWC is a natural extension of that purpose, built on the same passion, creativity, and collaboration that define gaming and competition. Music and esports both bring people together, they let us feel the same rhythm, the same energy, wherever we are." - Mike McCabe, Chief Operating Officer at the Esports World Cup Foundation.

Audiotool competition: A chance to feature at the Esports World Cup

In an effort to support emerging talent in the world of music creation, the Esports World Cup has partnered with Audiotool to form an open competition. Anyone, anywhere, will be able to submit an original track using this link before June 8th for a chance to have millions of people listen to your music.

A total of two winning tracks will be selected when all is said and done, which will join the collection of music to feature at the EWC 2025 event. The winners of this Audiotool competition will also receive 25 limited-edition vinyls of their winning tracks and a one-year subscription to LANDR Studio, one of the world's best music production software tools out there.

“Together with EWCF, we’re proud to help emerging artists bring their music into esports - a space that’s rapidly reshaping the future of entertainment - and share their work with a global audience as part of a cultural moment that connects creativity, community, and competition.” - Andreas Jacobi, CEO of Audiotool
