Most teams are fighting with everything they’ve got to secure a seat at The Berlin Major, while some have already received theirs. In day 2 of the final week of DPC Spring Tour, Team Liquid has finally received their Berlin Major ticket. Here’s a recap of the action that happened.

Ooredoo Thunders Vs Entity

The series was crucial for both teams, as the winning team would keep their Berlin Major hopes alive. Entity was supposed to come out on top, but Ooredoo Thunders came prepared.

In game 1, Ooredoo Thunders played a well-thought-out game. Playing methodically after winning the laning stage, Ooredoo Thunders forced Entity to take team fights on their terms. At 51 minutes, Ooredoo Thunders closed out game 1. In game 2, Ooredoo Thunders played a fast-paced game, giving no space for Entity to catch back up.  Having no answers to the aggression of Ooredoo Thunders, Entity tapped out at 31 minutes from game 2, giving the series to Ooredoo Thunders.

Tundra Vs Gaimin Gladiators

The series was crucial for Gaimin Gladiators as they needed to win the series to receive their slot at The Berlin Major, but unfortunately for them, Tundra came to play.

In game 1, Tundra drafted a safelane hard carry Nightstalker backed by a midlane Pangolier. At first, the draft was controversial, but as the game progresses, Tundra proves they made the right decision by giving Gaimin Gladiators a disastrous game when Tundra hit their item timing. Nine also put on a marvellous performance on his midlane Pangolier against Quinn’s signature midlane Puck.  At 44 minutes, having no answers to the dominant Nightstalker, GG tapped out of game 1.

In game 2, Tundra played a fast-paced game with a midlane Dragon Knight and a safelane hard carry Anti Mage with a peculiar Radiance build. Even though GG tried to find a way back into the game, Tundra was always a few steps ahead. Having no control of the game and no answers to the aggression from Tundra, at 28 minutes, GG tapped out from game 2.

Team Liquid Vs Monaspa

Team Liquid was in a comfortable spot against Monaspa. As Gaimin Gladiators lost their series against Tundra Esports, first place in the region and a ticket to The Berlin Major were guaranteed for Team Liquid if they won against Monaspa. Team Liquid did not disappoint.

In game 1, Team Liquid played a dominating game against Monaspa with a safelane hard carry Lifestealer backed up by an offlane Death Prophet. Even though Monaspa came out on top during the laning stage, Team Liquid played without hesitation, enabling their midlane Pangolier and forcing fights on their terms whilst taking objectives. Having no control of the game no longer, Monaspa tapped out at 36 minutes.

In game 2, Team Liquid played a marvellous game by enabling their midlane Storm Spirit. Monaspa tried to match the pace. However, Team Liquid always have answers for Monaspa. At 40 minutes, Team Liquid closed out game 2, taking their ticket to The Berlin Major.
