Demacia Cup 2024: Format, Groups, Schedule, Results and More

The biggest LPL pre-season event of the year, Demacia Cup, is on the horizon. The 2024 iteration of the event kicks off 16th December and features the 16 LPL teams, in addition to 2 LDL and Old Man Club finalists.

These 20 teams will take on each other in two stages to crown the pre-season LPL champion.

Demacia Cup 2024: Format and Groups

The tournament features two stages; Group and Knockout. The four teams qualified for Worlds 2024 directly go through to the quarterfinals: Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, LNG Esports and Weibo Gaming will directly play in the knockout stage.

The remaining 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four teams each. The groups will play a Bo1 round robin, with the one team from each group with the best record qualifies for the knockout stage. In case of a tie breaker, h2h record and average game time will be considered.

Each group will consist of three LPL teams and a single either LDL or Old . The groups for upcoming Demacia Cup 2024 are:

The LPL and LDL teams will feature the complete rosters.

Out of these 16 teams, only four (i.e. one from each group) will advance to the Knockout stage. The stage will feature fearless draft, with the side selection determined by 1v1. The complete bracket will be a single elimination bracket. The quarterfinals will be Bo3 and the rest of the stage will be Bo5.

  • 29 December: Grand Finals
