After years of repetitive souvenir packages that lost their appeal, Counter-Strike has finally announced something new and exciting.

Starting with the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, Playoff match drops will feature the all-new Souvenir Highlight Packages.

What is a Souvenir Highlight Package?

A Souvenir Highlight Package is a Playoff-exclusive drop for the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Each package contains a souvenir weapon with an attached charm that features a video highlight from the selected Playoff map.

The weapon’s description will include details about the highlight, and the clip can be viewed in your CS2 inventory, on Steam, or while spectating a teammate in-match.

These packages can’t be redeemed until the Major concludes, giving you the chance to pick the best packages based not only on your favorite team but also on the tournament winner and standout highlights.

This initiative significantly increases the value of the souvenir skins and packages, especially for highlights from big-name pros or iconic plays.

How to Redeem a Souvenir Highlight Package

After the Major wraps up, you can redeem your Playoff-exclusive Souvenir Highlight Package in two ways:

  • Using a souvenir token:
    • Choose the Playoff game you want the package from
    • Select a map
    • Redeem the Highlight Package
  • Buying the package directly:
    • Choose the Playoff game
    • Select a map
    • Purchase the souvenir package for $2.99

The option to buy a souvenir package directly for a Playoff game isn’t explicitly confirmed yet, but it’s likely to be available.

The introduction of the Souvenir Highlight Package reignites the excitement of owning and opening souvenir packages.

The highlights will be the “charms” of the new souvenir skins, meaning every souvenir weapon moving forward will be unique, and stay unique. Even better, these skins and packages will hold their value over time, as they capture a piece of Counter-Strike esports history.

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 kicks off on June 3rd. If you want to secure the new drops, join the Pick’Em challenge. You can learn how it works here and find a handy guide for making your picks here.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
