CDL 2023: Schedule and Pre-Season Power Rankings

With the release of the nineteenth instalment of COD, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, being just a few days away, Let's look at the Power Rankings of all the squads heading into the CDL 2023 Season.

A fantastic season on Call of Duty: Vanguard concluded with the LA Thieves winning the CDL 2022 Trophy. All the rosters are ready to rip each other off in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. With the 2023 CDL Season kicking off on December 2nd.

The season will be conclude with Major 5 which will be hosted by Toronto Ultra. This season will have five majors hosted by different cities and with Online Qualifiers and LAN over-the-weekend LAN tournament.

The CDL 2023 Schedule will be as following

After the conclusion of the CDL 2022 Season, Activision required the players to sign the contract extension by August 14th. Failing to do so resulted in the player being a Free Agent for the upcoming season.

And with the announcement of the transfer window, we saw the CDL rostermania in its full glory. Many big names in free agency, amongst which was crimsix, a Living COD legend who played for New York Subliners in 2022.

These teams have already started practising, with the beta release and the official release on the way. The announcement of the CDL 2023 season is already out.

The season will feature five majors, this time hosted by various cities, and the events will be much closer, as expected by the community.

 

CDL 2023 Power Rankings:

The 2022 season had Atlanta Faze being the top of the league leaderboard, trailed by Optic Texas, LA thieves and so on. Regarding the championship, LA Thieves managed to Topple the Faze squad twice, in the Winners Finals and the Grand Finals winning the Grand finals 5-2.

Going into the 2023 Season, Atlanta Faze and LA Thieves will be the teams to look out for, while Optic Texas, Minnesota Rokkr and Seatle Surge will be the event's contenders for CDL Championship 2023.

Note: The Power rankings are somewhat of an aggregation of power rankings of Breaking Point, The Flank etc.

With the added changes to the gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, It'd be fun to watch the power rankings completely topple and see new teams dominating the upcoming Call of Duty League season.

The latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare II drops on December 28th. The new CDL season starts on December 2nd with online qualifiers, with the first LAN starting on December 15th in Rayleigh. You can read about the tournament format, schedules and host cities here.
