The VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 has been a battleground for intense competition, with teams vying for supremacy in the Pacific region. Among them, BLEED Esports entered the arena with high hopes and aspirations. However, their journey took an unexpected turn, leading to their early exit from the tournament.

Dismal Performance

BLEED Esports struggled right from the start. Their opening matchup against T1 did not go as planned. They were completely outclassed. Although BLEED managed to push the first map into overtime, they still lost the series 2-0. Star player Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker was nowhere to be found, but neither were the rest of the team.

In the elimination game against Global Esports, BLEED again failed to outplay their opponents. After a heartbreaking loss on Sunset, they managed to pull the series into a tie on Icebox.

Finally, Split was the decider map. It was a duel of the Cyphers on Split, but BLEED fell short once again. They had a very weak defensive half. Although they managed to pull back a few rounds on the attack, Global Esports won the map at 13-11 and the series at 2-1.

Analyst Critique

According to analysts Seth "Achilios" King and William "Chobra" Cho, some of the rounds given up by BLEED were completely avoidable. They were moving into the site completely blind. They did not check corners, and did not respect the plays from GE.

They also had quite a few questionable deaths to give the opponents the upper hand. Both analysts agree that Bleed needs to make proper use of the off-time that they will get during VCT Masters Madrid to tighten up on some of their shortcomings.

Although BLEED were the first team to be eliminated from VCT Pacific Kickoff, they still showed some potential. Players like Javier "Egoist" Chua and Derrick "Deryeon" Yee managed to put up some decent individual performances. Given that they are still a new roster in VCT Pacific, they can only move upwards from here.
