Jason “Beaulo” Doty, one of the most recognizable names in Rainbow Six Siege esports, has announced his retirement from competitive play for the second time in his career.

The former TSM and DarkZero Esports player first stepped away from the game in January 2023, only to return in December 2023 after signing with DarkZero.

However, after just over a year of competition, he has once again decided to step back from professional Siege.

A Short but Impactful Return

Following his return, Beaulo's first tournament with DarkZero Esports was the Six Invitational 2024, where his team put on a strong performance. After finishing second in their group, they defeated Team Liquid and Spacestation Gaming in the playoffs. Though they ultimately finished in the Top 6, it was a promising start to his comeback.

Throughout Year 9, DarkZero Esports consistently qualified for every single international event, including:

Despite their success in securing tournament spots, DarkZero’s international performances fluctuated. Their Six Invitational 2025 run ended earlier than expected, with a 9th-12th place finish after being eliminated by Team Falcons.

A Personal Milestone Influences His Decision

One of the key reasons behind Beaulo’s retirement is his newfound role as a father. The Six Invitational 2022 champion welcomed a child into his life last month, making it increasingly difficult to commit to the rigorous demands of professional play. In his announcement, Beaulo admitted that he “no longer [has] the time required to reach excellence,” signaling his departure from the competitive scene.

While his retirement seems definitive for now, fans are already wondering if he might make another comeback in the future. For now, though, Beaulo leaves behind an incredible legacy as one of Siege’s most talented and influential players.
