Karmine Corp LoL to bring in Canna for Top Lane
Karmine Corp has brought in top laner Kim “Canna” Chang-dong for their League of Legends roster.
The veteran Korean laner will be replacing Lucas “Cabochard” Simon-Meslet starting from the LEC 2024 Summer Split. This roster move comes off the heels of Karmine Corp swapping out Chinese jungler Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo for Can “Closer” Çelik back in April.

This change marks another monumental shift and effort from Karmine Corp to rescue their position after finishing dead last in both the 2024 Winter and Spring Splits.
Canna steps in
Canna was most well-known for his time on SK Telecom / T1 back in 2019 to 2021. However, he most recently played for Dplus KIA, having transferred over from DAMWON Gaming a little over a month into his tenure with the organization.
Canna brings a powerful and aggressive reputation as a laner with an incredible number of solo kills, even earning the moniker of ‘Solo Killing Machine / Solo Kill King’ from the audience. Canna is also among the rarified few who won the LCK in their rookie year, earning the additional unofficial title of ‘Royal Roader’.
In recent times, Canna has not found as much success, partly due to the caliber of teams he has joined since T1.
Cabochard Out
Cabochard finally sees his long running tenure with Karmine Corp come to a potential close as he is benched for Canna and allowed to explore other opportunities.
Despite coming into the LEC as a promising, aggressive top laner with interesting picks, the dynamic of Karmine Corp’s roster failed to deliver. After two disappointing splits playing in the LEC, Cabochard may potentially see his time in the league come to a quick close.
Saken Out
Beloved Karmine Corp mid laner Lucas “SAKEN” Fayard is also potentially exiting the team, having been benched in favor of Vladimiros “Vladi” Kourtidis from Karmine’s academy roster.
Conclusion
Karmine’s roster changes sound incredibly interesting on paper, especially bringing in the legendary top laner to stabilize the roster. However, this will be Canna’s first international stint outside of Korean teams, leaving the question of communication up for speculation at this time. Moreover, a new jungler and mid laner will also challenge the entire top side dynamics of this roster.
