Early reports have indicated that Swedish Head Coach for Karmine Corp – Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi – will not be returning next split. After news broke out during the off-season that Karmine Corp was joining the LEC, their decision of Head Coach was swift and decisive. The recruitment of widely acclaimed and vocal coaching talent YamatoCannon boded well for Karmine’s start in the LEC.

First reported by LEC Wooloo.

However, despite early projections, Karmine went on to lose their first 7 games before finally scoring the last two of the Winter Split. The French organization faced many challenges in their debut split, and suffice to say, their Head Coach will pay the price for the cold start.

YamatoCannon was widely considered the most vocal member of the roster, frequently tweeting on the team’s dedication to turn their fortunes around. This controversial move by the French organization has reignited the debate on Karmine Corp’s performance thus far in the LEC. The debate centers around whether or not the move was a necessary one, whether it was the right one to make, and if it is sufficient to begin recovering.

Moreover, current Assistant Coach Rehareha “Reha” Ramanana has been reported to be likely to fill in as Head Coach in the next split. Karmine Corp will return for the Spring Split later this year. The LEC Winter Playoffs are currently ongoing and scheduled to run until the 18th.
