The action in WEU is heating up as only one week remains for the Division 1 Spring Tour.  With the hopes of securing a ticket for The Berlin Major, some teams overcame the odds stacked against them. Here’s the action that happened on Day 5

Team Liquid Vs Entity

The series between Team Liquid and Entity was the anticipated match of the day. Team Liquid had shown signs of mortality, and it was predicted Entity would come out on top, but Team Liquid silenced the doubters again.

In game 1, Entity tried to play a fast-paced game by pressuring Team Liquid, but Team Liquid stood its ground with the plays from their hard carry Monkey King. At 39 minutes, a failed Roshan contest from Entity was what Team Liquid was looking for to get a lead in the game. Taking all the racks, eventually, at 46 minutes, Team Liquid closed out game 1.

Team Liquid returned the aggression to Entity in game 2. Although Entity took a couple of team fights on their terms, it wasn’t enough. Team Liquid secured crucial pickoffs, putting Entity in a weird spot and at 34 minutes, Team Liquid closed out game 2.

Nigma Galaxy Vs Ooredoo Thunders

The series between Nigma Galaxy and Ooredoo Thunders was crucial for Nigma Galaxy. However, it wasn’t an easy series for them as Ooredoo Thunder had already taken down The Lima Major winners. Despite the odds, Nigma Galaxy prevailed.

In game 1, Nigma Galaxy punished Ooredoo Thunders's aggression and forced them to take uneven trades favouring Nigma Galaxy. At 59 minutes, Ooredoo Thunders eventually tapped out.

Ooredoo Thunders played methodically in game 2, winning the laning stage and pressuring Nigma Galaxy across the map. As the game progressed, Nigma Galaxy was able to adapt to Ooredoo Thunder’s aggression. When their hard carry Naga Siren hits her item timing, Nigma Galaxy was able to force out crucial game-winning mistakes from Ooredoo Thunders. Having no control of the map no longer, at 41 minutes, Ooredoo Thunders tapped out from game 2.

OG Vs Monaspa

OG was supposed to come out on top against Monaspa, but in reality, Monaspa overcame the odds.

In game 1, OG relentlessly pressured Monaspa, but a failed smoke gank attempt from OG at 30 minutes gave an opening to Monaspa. Monaspa crawled back into the game as OG made that crucial mistake of giving away the aegis. Eventually, at 40 minutes, OG tapped out, giving game 1 to Monaspa.

In game 2, OG tried to play a fast-paced game again, but Monaspa responded to OG’s aggression. As the game progressed, OG had no answers to Monaspa’s hard carry Morphling, and at 36 minutes, Monaspa closed out game 2, taking their series against OG.
