At the VALORANT Champions 2025 Pre-show, Riot Games revealed the latest agent joining the game. Veto, the DNA mutated Senegalese Sentinel, is the upcoming newest addition to VALORANT.

Role and Abilities

As mentioned previously, Veto will be a Sentinel joining the VALORANT protocol. His kit primarily revolves around nullifying opponent abilities.

Veto’s complete kit is as follows:

Chokehold (Basic Ability - C)

EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.

Crosscut (Basic Ability - Q)

EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.

Crosscut is similar to Yoru’s Gatecrash but players have to hover over the vortex to teleport. Both vortices/vortexes are purchaseable.

Interceptor (Signature - E)

EQUIP an Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at a projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.

Veto’s signature ability is one of the most unique. The loud and unmistakable Interceptor can destroy agent abilities including Raze Showstopper, Killjoy Lockdown, Sage Barrier Orb and more. The Interceptor however “destroys” abilities and doesn’t necessarily nullify them meaning it can’t affect the various smokes, Chamber’s Tour De Force etc.

Evolution (Ultimate - X)

INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.

The “Mutated” form of Veto is completely immune to all agent abilities. Gaining passive health regeneration out of active combat. This means when in the mutated form, Veto can take gun fights without worrying about flashes, stuns or damaging utility.

Release Date

Veto releases on October 7th with VALORANT Patch 11.08.

Today, October 5th, we crown the fifth VALORANT Champion at the Accor Arena in Paris. The game is now live. Watch the game on Twitch / YouTube. You can also follow the game on Strafe.

Is VALORANT Crossplay? PC, PS5, Xbox & Mobile Explained (2026)

VALORANT does not offer crossplay between PC and console. This means that PC players can only match and play against other PC players, and console players (PS5 and Xbox) players can only match and play against other console players. While there is no crossplay in VALORANT, the game does support cross progression, which means that your account, skins, and any other form of progress carry from one platform to the other (from PC to console, and vice versa).
