Map 1: Ascent

EG kicked things off by winning the first 2 rounds of the day on Ascent. However, EG managed to push through on their attack side. They managed to take the lead, and end the first half at 7-5.

EG could not manage to hold the same momentum in the second half. LOUD showed off a fantastic attack side as they fought back. Even though EG managed to get onto Map Point at round 22, LOUD won the next 2 rounds, forcing the map into Overtime.

Overtime was a simple affair for EG, as they managed to win 2 rounds back-to-back to take the map 14-12.

Map 2: Lotus

Lotus was a dominant map for EG. The North American side managed to take 2 rounds right off the bat. LOUD tried to answer back, as they took the next 2 rounds. But EG shut it down, as they pulled off an 8 round win streak to end the first half at a staggering 10-2.

The pistol round of the second half was also claimed by EG. LOUD managed to salvage 2 more rounds after that. However, EG finally put the map to rest by winning the 2 rounds needed at a dominant 13-4.

Map 3: Pearl

LOUD answered back on Pearl. The Reigning Champions showed off a terrific attack side. EG tried to salvage whatever they could in the half, as they got back 3 rounds. But LOUD had a strong hold, and ended the first half at 9-3.

EG started the second half off with a bang. They took 5 rounds of the first 6, and were feeling confident about making the 9-3 curse into reality. But LOUD decided to put an end to the map, as they won 3 rounds straight to secure the map at 13-8.

Map 4: Split

LOUD had another dominating first half on Split. The Brazilian Powerhouse won the pistol. And then proceeded to take the first half at 9-3, off the back of two separate 4 round win streaks.

EG tried fighting back in the second half. They managed to salvage 4 rounds in the half. But LOUD were relentless, as they secured the map in round 20 at 13-7.

Map 5: Bind

Bringing things down to Bind, it was quite tense for both teams. EG started off strong in first half, as they won 5 rounds right off the bat. However, LOUD tried to fight back. They managed to claw back 5 rounds in the half, as the first half ended 7-5 in favor of EG.

However, LOUD could not breach through EG’s defenses. Even though LOUD won the pistol round, EG managed to win 3 rounds right after that. LOUD could only claw back 2 more rounds, as EG took the map and the series at 13-8.

Evil Geniuses move ahead as they claim the second spot to the Grand Finals of VALORANT Champions 2023. Where they will face off against Paper Rex for Ultimate glory. Meanwhile, LOUD's Championship run has come to an end. As Defending Champions, they put on a valiant effort and showed some world class Valorant, which will cement thir claim as one of the best teams in the world.
