With the Valorant Champions Tour Game Changers Championship spot on-line, The VCT Game Changers NA Series III concluded last night with Cloud9 White dominating Shopify Rebellion GC to solidify their position as the best Game Changers team in North America.

 

Open and Closed Qualifiers:

A total of 48 teams played the Open qualifiers, of which 24 qualified for the Closed Qualifiers and only eight out of the 24 qualified for the Main Stage. Both stages were double-elimination brackets.

Main Stage:

With the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket matching up, the opening matches of the VCT Game Changers NA Series III Main stage kicked off on 12th October.

The main stage was a double-elimination bracket-type tournament with Upper Bracket-qualified teams matching Lower bracket-qualified teams from the qualifier.

  • Complexity GX3 2-0 EG GC
  • Misfits Black 1-2 Shopify Rebellion

Lower Round 1 results:

With the Victory, C9W secure the VCT GC Championship spot as the North American representative.

VCT Game Changers NA Series III Finals Cloud9 White vs. Shopify Rebellion GC (The Rivalry continues):

The VCT GC NA Series III finals have been one of the long lists of constant rematches between C9W and SR in the Upper Finals and Grand Finals of VCT GC in NA.

With the record 3-1 coming into VCT GC NA series III, C9W took the first blow winning the upper finals 2-0 to send SR to the lower bracket.

With the record heavily in their favor, SR came into the VCT GC NA Series III with a vengeance to settle the score and win against C9W.

The Grand Finals started on Ascent, picked by C9W. SR GC picked attack but could not find a constant opening in the C9W defense to lose the half. 3-9. The second half also started in C9W favor, and they managed to close the game 13-6.

On the attack, SR's Icebox started shakily for them, and C9W barraged through SR's defense, winning the half 9-3. Despite a pistol-round loss, SR won the eco to initiate a comeback and won four rounds in a row. But C9W recovered quickly to win the required three rounds going 2-0 up in the series.

The third map Haven was C9W's playground. The map started with C9W winning five out of the first six rounds on defense. SR started reading C9W defense well, won three rounds in a row, and gained momentum, but C9W stopped the bleeding, winning the last three rounds to close the half 8-4.

C9W, in the second half, only increased their lead further to shut down the SR.GC's defense won the map 13-6 to win the series 3-0.

Cloud 9 White win VCT Game Changers NA Series III

With this Victory, Cloud9 White solidified their position as the best team in North America and the world. They will attend the VCT GC Championship as the tournament favorite
