The Bali Major is on its final day, as only a few teams remain. Throughout the DPC 2022-2023 Season, Western European teams dominated the LANs without giving any fighting chance to the other regions. However, teams from various other regions proved they could also catch up to the WEU region.

In DreamLeague Season 20, Eastern European teams dominated the tournament. BetBoom Team even secured a spot at the grand finals, but they fell short against Gaimin Gladiators, an undefeated WEU titan. The Bali Major, on the other hand, showed the resurgence of the Western European region.

No Mercy

During the first few days of the Major, various teams stepped up to challenge the Western Europe titans. However, as the tournament progressed, Western European teams quickly gained a solid holding of the tournament. Team Liquid, the DPC Kings, topped Group A with four wins and four draws. Tundra Esports, The International 2022 Champions, finished third in Group A, and both teams secured their respective slots in the upper brackets.

In Group, Quest Esports decimated every team in their group. Quest Esports secured an upper-bracket spot with five wins, two draws and one loss. Likewise, with three wins, four draws and one loss, Gaimin Gladiators filled out the upper bracket. Although three regions stepped up to the challenge, the South East Asian region got dominated and eliminated.

Top Seeds All European

With BetBoom Team receiving an auto-loss for unintentional stream-sniping, the Upper Bracket Semi-finals consisted only of Western European teams. Team Liquid and Quest Esports got knocked into the lower brackets by Tundra Esports and Gaimin Gladiators. However, both teams overcame their opponents at the lower brackets, where they would secure the top four at The Bali Major. Team Liquid eliminated Quest Esports in the lower bracket semi-finals; thus, only the top teams from Western Europe remain.

Tale As Old As Time

In the lower bracket finals, Team Liquid avenged their upper bracket semifinal defeat by taking a clean 2-0 series against Tundra Esports. They advanced to face Gaimin Gladiators at the grand finals of The Bali Major. Both teams had met at the prior majors, with Gaimin Gladiators triumphing both times. In The Lima Major, Gaimin 3-0 Liquid. In DreamLeague Season 19, although Team Liquid stood their ground, Gaimin took the series with a 3-2 victory. In The Berlin Major, Gaimin Gladiators again took a 3-1 series against Team Liquid. The only question reaming is whether will the fourth time be the charm for Team Liquid.
