Team Liquid struggled during the initial stages of The Berlin Major, but they may have finally found their footing. After the group stages ended, Team Liquid secured an upper bracket slot for The Berlin Major playoffs.  However, in their debut upper bracket match, OG, with their standin', prevailed and sent Liquid to the lower brackets. Team Liquid had to take the more difficult route through the lower bracket.

Points Don’t Lie

In the recent match,  Liquid took a swift and clean victory against The International 2022 Champions, Tundra Esports, eliminating them from The Berlin Major and securing a 3rd-4th finish. Regardless of the results they will get from their match, the team has earned 350 DPC points from The Berlin Major. The points, combined with Team Liquid’s DPC points from The DPC 2022-2023 season, surpassed the minimum points required to qualify for The International 2023, making Team Liquid the first team to qualify for TI 12.

The team finished 3rd in The International 2022 run, falling short against Team Secret. In the 2022-2023 season, the team’s safelane hard carry retired, and Team Liquid had to adjust to their new roles. Nevertheless, the team was up for the challenge, their midlaner switched his role, and Liquid bought in one of the strongest mid-laners, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, as their new midlaner. Going into the DPC 2022-2023 season, Team Liquid quickly adapted to their new roles. The team placed a top-seed finish on their debut tour, qualifying for The Lima Major. \

The Challenges

However, in their first Major, there were some challenges the team had to overcome, and the team fell short against Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals, placing a second-place finish. In DreamLeague Season 19, the team again fell short against Gaimin Gladiators in the grand finals.

In the Spring Tour, the team again finished top seed in their region, securing their ticket for The Berlin Major. Despite playing from the lower brackets, they are one of the favourites to win The Berlin Major. Gaimin Gladiators is  Liquid's kryptonite, but Liquid have proved they can beat Gaimin Gladiators in DreamLeague Season 19 upper bracket finals. Team Liquid is also the favourite team to win The International 2023.
